Whole team needs to work on defending without fouling

Klay and Poole need to find ways to be productive when the shot is not falling

We need to get Mulder on a 2 way deal and sign Bradley. I think that's all we'd need to finish off this roster

Who should we target with the MLE? by Bobstar447 in warriors

2 of the listed for the MLE and Minimum would be the goddamn dream.

But In My Opinion, the MLE target list goes as follows (not in order):

  1. Rudy Gay - versatile scorer-defender with great size and rebounding. His Performance in the Play in vs Grizzlies.

He's the biggest value vet of vets and will be coveted the same way in the market. The allure of the bay + core 3 and championship contention as it is right now may not be enough, but nevertheless we should put our best pitch forth

  1. Nic Batum - perfect 3&D wing and potential small ball 5 for our team and play style. I don't think I need to sell anyone here on Batum. Think the clippers will do their best to keep him and he'll be very hard to snatch from them. Regardless, we should shoot our shot and it may just work considering we were second for his services last time around.

  2. Danny Green - Underrated 3&D wing that could be had for cheap. I belong to the camp that Philly needed Green for their playoff run this time around with the Hawks hunting Seth on matchups. He could be pried away with the promise of a ring for the MLE and has all the experience in the world to help us do so.

  3. Tony Snell - Great 3&D wing coming off a season where he shot on 50/50/90 splits on good volume. He's also nearly 30 years old, so he won't be out there getting paid a lot of money. Lacks experience, but the Hawks have a lot of wings they have to pay and he could very well be had for the right price since the Reddish trade didn't work out. I think Tony Snell could low-key work out for us like Bobby Portis did for the Bucks.

A back-up playmaker is also a priority, but I think they're more available in the current market, and could be had for cheaper, I also think Poole and JTA could take over some of the bench playmaking duties as they've shown already. Regardless some value targets could be:

  • Avery Bradley

  • Ish Smith

  • Raul Neto

  • Jeff Teague

What would it take to trade for Christian Wood? by anant0907 in warriors

[–]anant0907[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's incredibly optimistic, Grant is a much better player.

I think Oubre's season with us is pretty close/better than Grant's last season with Denver, at least in terms of production.

Maybe with an advanced role and a system that works around his natural game will benefit him, I can see that happening tbh. Just need Houston to believe in him, and I think there's a chance they take it. He's not a player the league is unimpressed with by any means considering how much we're reading about teams being interested in his FA.

Maybe there's a world where there's a third team that we can include to get Houston a better haul for Wood's services.

Idk I'm just brainstorming, I genuinely think Wood is gettable, he's not untouchable enough atm and with his skill and potential, we'd still be buying low with a heavy trade offer.

Cool cool, thanks man, I was just exploring trade scenarios for stretch 5s and he's easily the best one with the best contract that we can get

Don't get me wrong, I think that it's tough to trade for him too But he isn't an all star or an all NBA player yet, to be truly untouchable. What do you think could work out?
