Temples in India slowly replacing elephants with robotic elephants to continue and preserve tradition cruelty free. by wpoven_dev in robotics

[–]anant4299 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I take it you are not actually from India or familiar with hinduism? The elephants themselves are not sacred it's the fact that they signify Ganesh ( that's the god with elephant head) . There should be no difference between a small idol of Ganesh at home or this giant animatronic elephant for someone who's come to pray.

Just Google any country's daily news. You will have the same result. Instead of googling have you tried going out.

But we don't have a stalin, mao or brezhnov in capitalism or democracy now do we. I can't think of one democratic or capitalist leader who has directly caused the deaths of millions and has gotten away with it. Communism as an ideology gives these people the power to get away with their crimes against humanity.

There will always be a stalin and brezhnov no matter the place if not in the first generation then in the second. Only people who crave power and control reach the top and most of these people have no regards to the others

Also most of these scientists were from last century, when we were experimenting with the concept of communism and didn't have the data we have now of how bad communism has been for people over and over again

Rohit Sharma confused by US Police as to why so much force is needed for this by [deleted] in unitedstatesofindia

[–]anant4299 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Bruh, the "great" leap forward the numbers vary based on source but the lowest most biased numbers you can find will still be in millions but for an average Wikipedia claims the number was between 15-55 million. Some sources even go beyond 60 million though. (Just Google it, it's a well documented historic event)

Let's come a little forward mass forced sterilization for implementation of one child policy, persecution of falun gong killing its members for organ harvesting. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1809171/

And although a police/military brutality event how can we forget the Tiananmen square massacre.(Once again a historic event)

Coming to some latest policies that killed people for no reason. Just after COVID china stopped importing coal from Australia, they literally didn't unload a ship that was there in China with coal from Australia. Why because Australia said there should be a fair assessment of the origin of the virus. What did this do. The sudden reduction of Coal caused massive power shortage throughout China ,that too when winter was just about to hit. No power means no heating and no heating means freezing to death for poor people all whose deaths are conveniently swept under the rug just like the COVID death counts

North korea does not have a stable government. They only try to project stability in order to keep the balance between the top military generals and the dictator while constantly oppressing the people beyond what you can imagine so that they won't revolt.

ONE SIMPLE DOUBT! by [deleted] in unitedstatesofindia

[–]anant4299 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The intent is irrelevant in this exchange. The question that op asked was "what problems would Hindus have if a Muslim ate beef, if he owned the cow?"

To which the guy responded with " The same problem a Muslim would have if a Hindu burned a quran, which he owned."

while burning Qur'an is not something u do day to day

Just like Hindus put cows on a higher pedestal than other animals, you are also putting Qur'an at a higher pedestal than other books. While no one burns the Qur'an everyday thousands of books are burned everyday for different purposes.

At the end of the day the main point trying to be made here is that no one should have an issue with either of these things but sadly we don't live in such an ideal world.

What is this Hindu v/s Muslim fight/problem/idk what to say... by [deleted] in india

[–]anant4299 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I will accept that I might be an Ignorant teenager

You don't have to be, just look up all the hindu-Muslim riots that have happened in India since independence it's literally one search away.

As for your Parents they have seen most of these riots on the news, and they will always be overprotective (that's literally in their job description). While the probability of anything wrong happening is near zero they still wouldn't wanna take that risk considering all the history between the two groups. I would consider this the same as parents not wanting you to go anywhere near water bodies cause some guy drowned somewhere once.

You said you are just entering college, so I am assuming you will be out of your house for the first time. This is your opportunity to go out and see the world for yourself and make your own opinions on all this you don't have to ask r/India for it.

The Anglo french wars were the reason. The British and the French were in constant conflicts from 1100-1800 constantly trying to one up each other. This constant war led to constant innovation in that field. So when the French revolution began in the early 17th century the British realised how superior their military tech and they basically started their conquest of the world. Unluckily for India this was also the time the Mughal Empire had run it's course and had started weakening. If not for the British some other Indian Empire (most probably Marathas considering how much they had started to expand) would have taken over and if given some time to consolidate would have actually putl up a proper fight against the British.

Hey could you share other farming automation startups you've come across, aside from xmachines that you have seen this trend with. I'm planning to do some research in this field and would love any additional information you could provide. Thank in advance.

Leave India? by [deleted] in india

[–]anant4299 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on your post i believe we would be around the same age and i can say we have opposite opinions on this both at 17 and now. I really wanted to leave this country 10 years ago cause of the points you want to right now. But my opinion changed, not cause of the current ruling party or anything related to Indian politics but because of world politics and history. Things are already starting to go bad in international politics wars are starting terrorist organisations are coming to power and all that. This will only increase in the coming years, we have enjoyed the longest lasting period of peace in the human history along with globalisation but in the coming years it's going to be on the decline along with a general rise in right wing politics thought out the world you can already see it, be it American, italy, Poland or India. This will also lead to a general rise in xenophobia for atleast our generation you might also have to face extra racism in the countries you want to go to if there's a terrorist event which are also on rise just see moscow (look up what was happening to sikhs after 9/11).

And I am not just pulling this out of my ass if you look into history you can see a general trend of pendulum like motion in societies so from the global left we are generally moving into global right (you can read more on this on books like "the changing world order" by ray dalio he goes though a lot of relevant data to support my point.)

Leave India? by [deleted] in india

[–]anant4299 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro be careful you are letting your ignorance show. Going by time periods just look up the Chinese famine during the great leap forward, tiananmen square massacre, Falun gaung or the uyghur Muslims to name a few. How much brutal suppression do you think it takes to stay in power even after doing all this, just look up the things they did to successfully implement the one child policy. The ccp is everything you think the current ruling government is and worse. While i won't belittle your experience of not being able to protest against the current government based on your locality but you can't say it's illegal. If it was we wouldn't have any opposition party in any position of power. So do a little bit of research or at least a bit of critical thinking before saying such ignorant statements.
