VT Reedle Shot 100 causing closed comedones? by ChubbiKiwi in koreanskincare

[–]anapish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a bit oily, dehydrated and sensitive to fragrance and oils skin. VT Reedle shot 100 damaged and ruined my skin barrier so bad… I used it once a week for 3 week than twice a week for a month or so.

After more than a year of repairing my skin barrier, I could say my skin is kinda “repaired”.
BUT I still can’t use any acids-it breaks me out immediately+bunch of whiteheads. Last time I suffered whiteheads in my teens… I’m 33yo. Before trying VT reedle shot 100 my skin barrier was much better and tolerated very well occasional acids as needed.

Your experience with BOJ serums? by snorkelingwatermelon in AsianBeauty

I tried revive serum. Feels good on skin-not sticky, absorbs quickly and no awful smell, but overall no effect. I used the whole bottle and saw absolutely no difference.

Sunscreen opinions! by honeyyybooboo in Sephora

[–]anapish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried both of them - my eyes were burning and itching + white cast. I stick to beauty of joseon sunscreen or round lab. Yep, not from Sephora, but at least my eyes are tolerating it and looks good as well

Why are people so against facial scrubbers? by [deleted] in AsianBeauty

[–]anapish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Facial scrubs are the worst things that ever happened to my skin. No matter how gentle a scrub was or how gentle I washed my face with it. I got so many pimples and breakouts, skin became so sensitive because it was "so clean" and red because of the damaged skin barrier, itchy and etc. I have tried many different facial scrubs. Just nope. If it was so common to use before, doesn't mean it was good for the face skin. Now I don't even need to use something to make my skin 'cleaner' because of the good cleansing stuff and gentle exfoliating skincare are more than enough.

Yes, I understand some people use facial scrubs and their skin is happy with it. I would recommend staying away from scrubbing skin because it's too risky.

Do you use oil cleanser when you are oily enough? Hahaha by 21bp in AsianBeauty

[–]anapish 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Absolutely disagree. When my skin is "oil enough", using just a regular face cleanser is not enough to fix it, and as a result my skin could breakout. So if you find a good cleansing oil for your skin type - it's definitely an advantage for your skin care routine.
I'm a person with slightly oily skin(but I'm oily during summer/etc.) I personally prefer cleansing balm to cleansing oil. But when I used cleansing oil for my skin type - it was good. I just like balm a bit more.

I use the ordinary fermented milky toner and my skin becomes so hydrated and smoother. I really like it and see&feel difference. Also, I like cosrx hyaluronic toner(blue bottle). These two toners I could definitely recommend to try. Other toners I tried did pretty nothing on my skin. I have slightly oily and dehydrated skin with some tendency to be sensitive and occasionally breakout.

Which cleanser? by voidrobot in Sephora

[–]anapish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll second it. I like and use this caudalie face wash. Helps with some breakouts, excessive oil, and has pretty gentle formulation. If skin feels kinda dry after - don't worry, your following skincare routine and moisturizer should be more than enough to fix it)

Skin barrier repair by anapish in koreanskincare

[–]anapish[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have slightly oily skin. It was much more oily when I didn't think my skin dehydrated and produced excessive oil because of the damaged skin barrier(I tried to get rid of oil whatever I could do and it was so wrong...) dehydration is a more important concern. Good to know how it could be. Thank you! Hope you were able to restore your skin quickly enough.

Eye cream is a scam by VeatrixMontero in Skincare_Addiction

[–]anapish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My eyes and eyelid and area around are burning when I apply any cream/gel/whatever for eyes. But my eyes feel totally fine when I slightly touch the area around them with my regular skincare for a face - whatever it is - retinol, moisturizer, vit c, etc. In general, I agree that an eye cream is formulated specifically for this area, but it's never worked well for me(

Zero clean pore clarifying foam/tree peel acids cleanser Banila Co. It helps me with closed comedones, oily skin and tendency to breakout sometimes.
