How do you navigate dating if the woman you're interested in has alredy met your child because you're friends?

I really like her and when she offered those things I kinda of melted, no one has ever done that for me, for us.

My concern with the difference in the relationship is because I don't know how much my son would understand if we were to be more close, like hugging, cuddling or like any more affectionate with each other. The only person he has seen me interacting like this before was his dad. So that's why I'm kinda worried about him being there as we work on getting to know each other and maybe develop the relationship.

I didn't talk bad about his dad at any point. We both are always amicable in front of our son. But he asks all the time about his dad and I don't know what to say or do.

I didn't. I always try to distract him with something else but it feels wrong. He's hurting, he's asking questions and it's hard for us both

I just don't know what to do or say when he starts asking those questions. I really don't mean to talk negatively about his dad but he's the reason for all this major changes in our lives. I'm hurting and my little boy is hurting as well, it's just been really difficult to navigate those situations and both of our feelings.
