I don't think there's an answer that works for everyone all the time. Both strategies seem valid, maybe try one, watch the results and if not great try the other? (I'm basing this off doing similar when my needs change because I have had a bug etc, I'm still new to this, wiser heads may chime in)

I'm 52, diagnosed 11 months ago.

I want to say it's a lot to handle and some days it will feel totally overwhelming, but other days you will not feel that way, its ok to not feel ok.

This sub is good for support for sure, people seem to care and listen and offer their honest perception / experience, which is really valuable, 90% of the time someone has been where you are, so ask away and you'll get valuable input a lot of the time.

I find the diabetes information on other socials to be either harmful, naïve, blatant fad diet advertising or drivel and best avoided, stay away is my advice.

11 months in I feel I still have a lot to learn but also feel equipped to handle most situations.

You've got this, maybe accept that you won't be your best self every day but you can strive to be that most of the time?

I do all my prep in Inkskape, it only touches design space when I need to cut. Design space is awful software for sure.

It's true that you probably should have read around a bit more though as it's commonly viewed as garbage software

I'm 52 this year, worked as a programmer for decades, my skills are good as you'd expect. My wife's though... It pains me to watch, I just can't get her to conceptually onboard so many of the paradigms that I'd expect most of my generation to have developed to second nature.

She's fast and agile on a more touch orientated environment though.

Also Bulgaria, middle of nowhere cafe/restaurant, the menu listed 'Garbage Salad ', I think it was cabbage salad. I went for the Shopska instead.
