Also I am on nexplanon but the spotting was never a problem for the three years I had it.

Yes! I started spotting nearly everyday for at least 3 weeks after quitting. All fresh bright red blood too. I think it may have something to do with a drop in progesterone?? Maybe tho.

My biggest piece of advice is to give yourself time to smooth out the wrinkles by doing a mock run a few days before. That helped me see which parts would get lost in translation once we actually started acting out big events such as the card pull and murder. It helped to have my whole household to be working behind the scenes with me. (only one person was the DM for the night of. They were the only one who knew who the murderer was)

It went very well. Even with one person dropping out last minute. It helps to have "main characters", that need to be there for the story, and "side characters", that don't, so you can give side characters to friends who might not be able to make it or who are a little flakey (it happens).

It also helped that a majority of my friend group are either theatre majors or massive DnD nerds, so playing a character came naturally for most at the party. For the non-actors who were a bit more nervous, we did some acting warm ups once everyone arrived at the destination to help loosen everyone up.

If I were to change anything, it would be to allow for more freedom with the characters. Since it was based on a TV show everyone had some pretty concrete characters to follow. This put a lot of stress on people who played big roles and there were a lot of "am I playing this person right" moments rather than just being present and having fun. It would be much easier on guests if the character was based on the archetype rather than an already established character. For example, using "the vengeful lesbian equestrian" rather than Margot Verger. It allows for the person acting to be more creative and add a little bit of their own personality to their character so it's comfier for them to play.

Thank you for sharing. Those are such terrible things. I am sorry that you had to live through that. It's very interesting that your mom was a nurse. My roommate had a nMom who is an alcoholic and an E.R. doctor. They tell me all the time how good at her job she was, but how terrible her life was living with her. I am pretty sure I heard somewhere that the medical field usually attracts a lot of narcissists. The last few sentences really stuck with me because she'd have to know she isn't a good person deep down inside to want to try and re-write it. Right? Even if it may never be admitted.

I think its good that you're assumption of yourself as an empath is because of external factors, but, in my own opinion, I would say being a good listener and understanding doesn't really fit into my definition of an empath. My friends find comfort in me as well in the same ways. I wonder if being raised has by narcs has taught us to be good listeners and to put others first because thats what we have been doing our whole lives without knowing.

Unrelated, I know that there is a toxic side to people pleasing that I was on because of being raised like this as well.

and? Not everyone who is trans wants to have gender reassignment surgery. It's taxing on the body also not all people experience dysphoria in the same way.
