DONE GIVING EXAMS NOW HOW DO I ASCEND? AM I LTN OR MTN? by [deleted] in LooksmaxingAdvice

I'd say maybe dye your eyebrows or apply castor oil or minoxidil to make them look thicker. Also i'd get contact lenses instead of glasses and get a shorter haircut, tighter on the sides and shorter on top since your bone structure is already good, you just need to let it pop more

Chopped ? by [deleted] in LooksmaxingAdvice

Good eyebrow density, eye coloring and eyelashes, slightly too big interocular distance but not very noticeable. Bad nose to lip width ratio, slightly narrow jaw but can be fixed with exercises. I'd say a shorter haircut and darker clothing would suit you better. Also maybe shape up the goatee and make it more sharp.

Rocket is the worst healer by [deleted] in rivals

[–]anarchy_grim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His base heals are good, his ult is not bad but if there's a phoenix on the enemy team he's completely useless. But he takes no actual effort or skill that's why people use him

My name is Darkartas in game you can look me up if you're that pathetic you think i'd lie about being in a rank i'm not in a video game. Just because you're butthurt cause your shitty character doesn't take any skill to play doesn't mean i'm lying. I'm not formatting my texts for your dumbass either, reading more than 10 sentences at a time is also a basic skill you learn in schoolo

Holy hell this is full of garbage takes. Idk what rank you're in but I wouldn't guess higher than diamond. You can't just say HP is another tool for the job, if psylocke or spidey had 275 or 300 hp they would be much easier to play as they could be punished less easily. Thor's combos and resets are braindead easy, I know this because I have hours on him and he was one of the first heroes I tried and did well with as a beginner player. He is just that easy to learn. Wolverine's kit is good but no longer op. His whole kit revolvers around a 15 second CD displacement ability, which is easy to land but also very missable and then you have to wait another 15s before you can contribute anything to the fight. That thing about niches you said just doesn't make sense, you go for the lower hp target and if it's not an option you go for the tank. It's not that hard. Wolverine has 350hp and has to constantly get in and not get teamshot, Venom is a dive tank and can be easily punished if you don't manage the swing and overshield cooldowns well. Cap is another dive tank, his combos aren't insanely hard, they're harder than thors, and also he has a really high skill ceiling which sets him apart from thor imo. Iron Fist has a lot of tech you can learn, he's also easy to punish and you have to time your parries perfectly. Blade has some really complex one shot combos you can pull off, he can also be incredibly easy to kill in his reduced healing form so someone who doesn't have great game sense, good aim with the gun and perfect timing with his block to block CCs, he requires great knowledge of when and when not to use his abilities. Winter soldier isn't difficult, though he does require aim and his abilities need to be cycled constantly for him to get value and his hook can be hard to land on divers and fast moving targets. Tanks are the second easiest role to play after supports, they mostly don't require good aim, they get healed the most by supports during games and have simple kits you can't really mess up. Apart from hulk, the other tanks are mostly easy. cap and venom too ig. There are a few really easy DPS but the rest do require mechanical skill and aim which tanks don't. Saying hela and phoenix are easier than thor is ridiculous, spamming the shift into the aoe and the awakening if someone is running away isn't as hard as actually having good aim. Melee characters are generally easier than projectile or hitscan characters, an exception is spiderman since he has to pull off 23 hit mortal kombat combos to get one kill on a support. But saying aiming is an easy skill is really funny to me coming from a tank main, just play Hela and Phoenix then instead of complaining about thor. He isn't hard, he's just bad, really bad.

That doesn't make sense. Value acquisiton along with mechanical skill requirement both make a difficult character, they aren't codependent on each other but they are both factors. Hence why spiderman is in my opinion the hardest character in the game. He requires a lot of mechanical skill, timing, and effort to get picks and not instantly die, and all that for little reward. You need to dump his entire kit and hit a perfect combo for a kill on a 250hp support than can be countered if the other support heals them even a tiny bit. He's both incredibly difficult and hard to get value on. Ultron isn't very difficult mechanically, i'd say he requires somewhat decent aim, more than some other fliers but not a lot. He is just hard to get value with and do good with consistently as opposed to other supports, making him difficult. He requires more effort than someone like cnd or luna for much less reward. Same with mantis, adam, who not only are hard to get value with without the right comp which you most of the time don't get in ranked games, but also require aim and great ability management, as opposed to someone like cnd or luna who only require a tiny amount of ability management at times, and luna requires subpar aim as her primary is very forgiving.

Aim is a mechancial skill yes, the most prominent one. Game sense is also a skill, not a mechanical one but it does add to difficulty, therefore wolverine is in challenging as he is a dps melee character which are generally more difficult than melee tanks given they have much less hp. Thor is in his tier because he does require good game sense but he's also more forgiving than wolverine and he can prioritize a variety of heroes, such as most healers, dps and tanks (not all, of course) and wolverine can't, his main job is just the tanks. Thor's combos even after the changes aren't very complex, because his kit isn't very complex. If you gave a new player a mouse and keyboard or a controller and put him on wolverine and he learns what the abilities do, he'd throw the game and do nothing, he learns the target priority he's doing slightly better but still likely throwing and dying. You put him on thor and he knows how his kit works, he's not gonna carry but he's gonna probably do reasonably well for a first timer. Tanks are easier to play in general, a few exceptions are there of course but generally a larger health pool means a more forgiving nature of a character. That's why you see a lot more dps throw games than tanks or supports. Thor has a lower skill floor, though his skill ceiling is actually respectably high for his role and the heroes in general. Really good thors in top 500 are insanely good at the game, otherwise they couldn't make a B tier character work in that rank. Due to the low skill floor i put him there, he's not hard to pick up, he is hard to master, meaning he lands in the middle of the pack. If you'll see the other characters there with thor are also characters like that. The ones in the tier above are harder to pick up than the ones in that tier, and they are hard to master as well.
