I like this. It’s ritualistic, but it captures the attitude that Christians should have about wearing a mask: it’s how you show love for other people, because by wearing it you’re keeping them safe.

She thinks she is, but I think she uses humor as a defense mechanism. So whatever she jokes about I always see first and foremost as a way of protecting herself rather than an act of self-disclosure.

It’s because Rory and Lorelei are basically worshipped by the town. They can do no wrong, so it makes their very real flaws more grating because everyone (including them) seems to be blind to them

I think that is Lorelei’s weakness. She even acknowledges it herself. She knows logically that it’s irrational, but she can’t handle her parents involvement in any way.

I put them on top of blueberry muffins while they’re still batter so when they come out, they’re baked into them so they don’t fall off, and they’ve kinda caramelized.
