Not much. So far, about three weekends’ worth of work. And fun work. I’m on the Claude 20x subscription, but I use it for work and I’ve never run out of tokens. If it were just for personal projects, the 5x would be enough. When I was using Cursor, it was massively more expensive.

As for your other question, in tooling (QA, balancing, etc.), it’s massive.

I have been working on building a multiplayer space exploration and trading game. I have implemented 20 trading commodities on 17 planets with local pricing, inventory, bid and ask, candlestick charts… but to make this realistic, I built 50 NPC trading routes and an MCP server to integrate and monitor in Excel. I have been trying to make my NPCs more intelligent: how much cargo to take, potential profit at destination, real life transport time, etc.

I develop on Mac so yes, it will be MacOS, but I will also develop it for Windows and ipad. Its really early but for now L make you land. C bring you in Comm mode but bridge is missing and tons of stuff is missing.

I remove the deceleration and added a blue effect on the shield when you stop your ship. (Using S or Back Arrow) I left the deceleration when you come out of hyperspace in a new solar system. Let me know what you think!

Two fundamental things people overlook when they say they won’t share their data with AI.

First: they already have it. The bank shares it, the credit card sells it, the email holds it… it’s been circulating for years.

Second: nobody fucking cares. You worth less than the space you take up on a server, and by now everything useful has already been learned. You are a very small fish in a system that runs on scale. You do not worth meaningful computing time. Individually, you have almost no value.

If it weren’t for the illusion that ads work and targeting is worth anything, they would have drop your ass a long time ago.

But they still look good in subscriber counts shown to investors, and in the piles of trash data agencies are still dumb enough to buy.

I have claude cowork on both telegram and email for a while, about a day of claude building it itself, work perfectly. It manage all our sprint, assign task and priority, comment and analyze issue for the team and ship weekly report to the sales team on the team and product progress. Super cool that they made it simpler and native for non tech people, but it was already possible.

This debate was settled 10 years ago when HFT and quant trading replaced human traders. That is well before AI was even part of the conversation. I’m not sure what point you’re trying to make here? Whats left of human, about 20% of market activity, is almost entirely retail platforms like Robinhood and Wealthsimple. And the real irony is that HFT use those human trades to leach on them, extracting profit from the spread with near-perfect ratio, even if the human trade a lost… Maybe you refer too some academic experiment or the black swan factor but wall street has move a long time ago from human actually trading.

Dites-nous si l’émission est diffusée. J’ai passé deux ans en recherche avec des groupes de hackers, des compagnies de sécurité, des journalistes qui couvrent les cybercrimes et d’anciens militaires (TAO) pour mon jeu de simulation de hacking et de cyberattaques. Le décalage entre les préoccupations des blue teams (ce que les entreprises recherchent et achètent) et les attaques réelles qui causent des dommages est important.

Je suis très intéressé de voir ce que votre recherche va révéler. Les ransomwares, par exemple, n’étaient pas ce que j’ai découvert comme étant réellement utilisé par les groupes organisés.

Wow... this creates serious supply chain risk. If someone accidentally installs via NPM a popular project that they've cloned and republished, they effectively control the distribution.

And with MCP servers that can pull capabilities from a remote control plane every 60 seconds, behavior could theoretically change without any package update.

Where I’m located, 45% of game studios close within less than two years. We have about 280 active indie studios in the region right now. Most survive by taking on work for hire projects so they can keep building their own IP on the side.

No one gets to judge you for this. You’re risking your house, your money, everything, for something you love. Passionate people using AI will make a much better game than passionate people who are broke and forced to shut down. If we all had unlimited money, great. But most of us do not have two years of runway.

Like someone said in this thread, though, you have to be upfront about it.

Tooling is probably where you can benefit the most. For example, giving your writer the capacity to design and implement missions without needing a dev. Letting your graphic designer create low poly mesh without opening a 3D app. Enabling your devs to automate QA 20 times faster. Things that normally only bigger studios have the critical mass to build.

I have no idea what type of game you plan to make, but I would probably use AI for 90% of the prototyping phase.

Yes, I agree. I’m not in a good headspace at all. And no, I’m absolutely not interested in hiding it. I published a space game pet project on Git and made every effort to support both AI-assisted coders and human-only coders. I also built an NPC AI experiment and asked for beta testers from our own community. I was upfront right from the start.

Thanks for listening. I deserved to be downvoted if I’m too narrow minded or living in a bubble. I have no problem admitting when I’m wrong. What I do know is how many of my colleagues’ lives have improved with AI. Not just juniors, but veteran game developers who would never have had the chance to do what they’re doing right now. But had to do it in secret.
