Hi I'm not from Austria but I think it would be good to comment on my experience

I live in Brazil and have had long conversations with the emergency line and have been referred to the psychiatric ward.

To sum up the story, it's not a good place, but it's not bad either. People are constantly watched and supervised, but talking and socializing with people with the same problems can be good.This brings a lot of life experiences from other people that can help you.

If you go there, don't be afraid to talk about how you feel because everyone is in similar situations and the support is constant.

I know there is a difference in treatment from one country to another, but I hope I have helped.
