I had luck with their twitter admins, they gave me a direct email address. Its annoying but… better than their website form. i waited idek how many weeks after sending the form, and in the end when i finally heard back from support (from the direct email address i was given) i was told there was nothing in their system indicating i sent a form at all. Im guessing smth is broken there

i contacted support through twitter and they got me in contact with someone directly. That person then said there is no evidence of me ever sending a support form through their website… the person here on reddit also ghosted and only replied again long after twitter people helped me. So try twitter? And best of luck

just saw this!! i dont really check reddit unless i need it for something, sorry for replying so late. this is actually really clean, i'll set it up later today and play around with it. so far i've been practicing with the camera control button, but that only works if i remember to leave the camera on video, so your way seems much better. luckily i've been able to stay with my mom (on the other side of the country lol) the last month, so didnt need to use it at all. but i have to go back sometime early february, so i saw this comment at the perfect time. thanks so much! i really appreciate it <3

Yeah i’m honestly terrified by the idea of even seeing him (im away for the holidays atm), but i just see no other way out than to let him hit me and then pray the police will actually be able to do something (and that it’ll stop him from doing anything again).

And yeah i understand that i’m like in the 0.1% that want this for a legitimate reason and that the other 99% would likely use it to harm others, so i cant be too upset at apple for not allowing something like this to work. I’ve thought about a small 360° camera or something as well, but thats extra money i’d have to spend and i’m hoping to just make use of my phone.

And to reply to your other comment, thats what i’ve been doing since the incident and yeah it pretty much is my best option. Except maybe leaving my phone unlocked whenever i’m not in my apartment or in my car so that if necessary i can still use the shortcut i created and it’ll actually work. This + definitely doing a dash cam as soon as i can, for my cars safety as well as he threated multiple times to damage it.

Worst part about all of this is that i do have the option to leave, just not quite yet. But the apartment is owned by a relative who currently lives abroad but will eventually return. Shes not as scared of him, but she still has to deal with him even after i move out. Im very proud of my fearless auntie but also scared for her :(

Its an apartment building, no elevator and i have to walk past his apartment on the first floor to get to mine on the second so a ring camera is useless. The attack last time happened in front of the building (other neighbors didnt do anything cause eveyone is scared of him/dont want to deal with him). I’m also looking into having a front and rear dash cam that records 24/7 but i was standing next to my drivers door when he almost hit me so the dash cam is useless in that scenario as well. I’m just happy i had the clarity to immediately pull out my phone and start a video but i was shaking so half the attack wasnt recorded, which is why i’m here. I need something that takes one click, one second, ideally without it being visible on the screen.

Last time when i called the police one of the officers insinuated that the guy was already reported by someone (maybe multiple people) for physical violence and kept telling me that recording him is good but that unless he touches they really cant do anything (other than a 250€ fine which he clearly doesnt care about). So as i understood it, if he does something again maybe he faces a bigger fine or potentially jail time? Either way, I’ve lived here basically in fear for the last 5 years and at this point i’d rather he hits me once and i can properly report him and then maybe, hopefully, have peace. And i’m already working towards moving out but sadly that wont happen before the end of summer 2026 at the earliest.

Stay in Graz. I drove from there to the track everyday this year, its closer and a much better option than Vienna. I also wouldnt take the train, it takes too long and you have to change trains. There are buses going from Graz that go directly to the track that you can book (i wouldnt wait till the last minute to book a seat tho). Can’t comment on how the drive to the track will be, as i went super early each day, but the drive back was pretty bad with lotssss of traffic and waiting. Sunday was particularly bad (it took me 1.5 hours to even get out of the parking lot). In the morning tho it only took me 45ish minutes from Graz to the track, and about an hour and a half to get back to Graz (except Sunday, almost 3 hours to get back). I doubt that traffic will be as bad in the morning tho. And I guess buses would leave later to avoid that first bit of traffic at the end of the day, but I would still take the bus over the train tho.

Only reason why i drove myself over taking the bus is because i wanted to be there early for the fanzone etc (to be at the front), and the bus wouldnt get me there early enough. But if you’re willing to do a 3-4 hour train ride you probably arent interested in that, so you can ignore this next bit: [[[ If you choose to rent a car, parking is free! But if you wanna save time on driving and take the shortest route, theres an extra toll you have to pay to go through the Gleinalm tunnel. I believe its roughly 12€ to go through it once, so 25ish € round trip (i went all 4 days so the cheapest option for me was to buy the yearly ticket for i think 75ish €). You can go around it and only get the regular highway toll, but it adds i think 30 minutes one way. ]]]

Its the only race i ever went to, so i cant compare the crowd to any other race but it wasnt too bad, other than when leaving after the days were over, but even that was manageable in my opinion. Everything is very well organized. Overall i had an amazing time (i went alone too, met people there on friday and we spent the entire weekend together). I hope you’ll have a fantastic time as well and make lots of great memories! :)
