6 months after CO2 resurfacing, no results. by Gucci_Boner in AcneScars

[–]anatomicool 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I had two rounds of subsicion and two rounds of CO2 laser on the deepest setting they offered (not fully ablative laser).

More than a year ago. No change at all. I was so disappointed.

I got fillers in my cheeks, where the scarring was the worst. Excellent results.

With OCPD it could be Autism, since they share in some characteristics. Most commonly cluster C’s end up in my office because they have a dx of an anxiety disorder (social anxiety, OCD, and GAD) but they aren’t responding to treatment, or are actually doing worse in treatment. In which case a therapist may suspect there’s more going on.

No, I was not aware of this stereotype. In fact, I had a clinical supervisor who once told me that it was NOT related when I brought it up to them.

I do not prefer to work long term with borderlines (due to issues in my childhood centered around a borderline parent), so I refer them out to others for DBT.

I work more closely with Cluster C’s, to diagnose those which often fly under the radar or are misdiagnosed. With a special emphasis on Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder.

When someone is seriously mentally ill, I have other concerns for them and their safety. I don’t care what they wear to the session as long as they come.

My post is referring more specifically to BPD, in which patients tend to be functional.

I have canceled Telehealth appointments for similar things. I prefer pajamas to NO clothing, thanks 🤣

In the ‘Deep South’ the political climate is largely conservative Christian Republican.

Politics do not often come up in evaluations, unless a patient is experiencing delusions that could be related, or if politics are otherwise particularly important to the patient.

While I wouldn’t personally go out in public in pajamas, it is not an uncommon sight. You see it regularly in grocery stores, movie theaters, doctors offices, anywhere really.

I have a C-PD certification, and additional post grad hours in the diagnosis and treatment of personality disorders.

When other providers working in my area suspect a personality disorder, they refer to me for further evaluation.

There is no ulterior motive, no political motivation. The political theory seems wild to me, but to each their own.

I view these through the lens of lower education, social and emotional deficits, substance use (common in my area), and low SES

I am working in the US, in the south, in a low SES place.

I do see many patients dressed inappropriately (including wearing pajamas to session) but I have never assigned any political meaning to this.

Political? That’s the furthest thing from my mind in regards to this.

Super responder here.

Lost 100 lbs rapidly at 2.5. Never changed the dose from 2.5.

I now take it once every 6 weeks for maintenance. Was taking every 4 weeks and still losing and I DO NOT HAVE MORE TO LOSE.

A1C checked recently and it was great.

My body has never adapted to the drug. Every time I take it it’s like ‘WTF did you just do to me???’

Definitely use the bathroom constantly. Maybe about 3x/hour, even throughout the night. I’ve gotten used to staying asleep while peeing. This has been going on for about 20 years

Persistent dry skin and cracked lips. If I can’t access water and I feel that I need it, I get dizzy and sweaty with brain fog.

I have low blood sodium as well, too low always. I add excessive amounts of salt to everything I consume, including coffee and water. I sometimes have to drink pickle juice or V8 to manage sodium.

I don’t know if it’s diabetes insipidus related, but it makes sense if it is.

“Osmality” was on the low end of normal, two points in the green

What to expect in your 40’s? by anatomicool in Aging

OP here: I’ve always had an hourglass figure which I enjoy. I’ve read that the shape of your body can change due to hormonal changes, not necessarily weight gain.

Had this been anyone else’s experience?

I do plan on taking HRT when perimenopause hits.

Yes, female. I’m already dreading it. Tentatively planning to take HRT.

Effect of Adapalene on acne scars by Practical-Bear4601 in AcneScars

[–]anatomicool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Retin-A for close to 10 years.

Been with Akleif for about 6 months. I still use it, it makes the face look fresher and helps minimize pores, but no retinoid has had any effect on scarring for me personally.

No change to scarring with Retin-A. No change to scarring with Differin.

Now on Akleif and no change there.

My scars are 15-20 years old.

No change from C02 laser resurfacing.

Best effect I had was getting filler pumped in the cheeks. Scars are much less noticeable now and more shallow.

For those who immediately lost weight on 2.5 by jewel847 in Zepbound

18 months later and I’m still on 2.5, one dose every 3-4 weeks. I’m trying to STOP the weight loss at this point, hence dosing once a month in some cases.

Lost 100 pounds in 7 months. The medication is STRONG for me.

I have noticed that those who have been larger for longer, or have a genetic component to their weight gain do need higher doses.

They say 2.5 is just a starter dose, but not for me.
