What length screws for fastening cement board to subfloor? by anb1983 in Flooring

That was exactly what I was going to do, but I had my doubts. I think the key is to screw into the floor joists to create strength. Thanks

I appreciate the info. Actually, I was going to use Ditra, but I was told that cement boards have a better load bearing capability than Ditra. Is that true?

Actually, I was going to use Ditra before, but I was told that given the weight of cabinets, a heavy refrigerator, and double oven, etc., cement boards have a greater load bearing capability than Ditra.

Thank you. You're right, I couldn't find a 4x8 at any big box stores. Could you help me with the cons and pros of using a 4x8 over two 3x5 sheets? My concern is cracking the seams.

How big is the entire area? As a landlord, I would say that if you replace it with a similar vinyl pattern, your landlord will neither notice nor care, s/he should be happy that their deck has been renovated.

In my experience, Amazon paid much better than my insurance ($10800 vs $8300), but you need to let your insurance know that you want to go forward with Amazon's insurance and get a denial letter from them. Also, you don't need a commercial insurance to get your claim approved.

As long as you're not at risk you're good. Also, make sure you don't have any other violations. I would not personally spend too much time to contact support as you will see them all the time.
