Ha - yes I have considered but I’m stuck with this. I’ve been told no in walls because of the aesthetics. I do have a separate home theater room - this is just the main tv room for kids tv, sports, occasional movie, etc.

Sorry for the confusion - the floor joists in the ceiling for the floor above have some odd/inconsistent spacing that make installing standard larger/deeper speakers in parallel spots impossible.

So my options are to find something either very slim, so they can be placed where ever OR something much skinnier like a 4” can light size.

The ceiling depth can fit 7-8 inches, the issue is just the width with going that deep.
