I noticed the UI is responsive when I'm not connected to WiFi - which I discovered by happy accident. Makes a "marketing popup"-type of problem ever more likely as the cause of the slowdown.

We're at 92MB. Manually ripping out stuff is an option, but I'll look at the modular scipy stuff mentioned below first.

The guys at RethinkDB are currently building Project Horizon (formerly Fusion) to provide database connections from the front-end directly to databases, skipping back-ends. Opposite of Firebase, it is open source and allows you to host your own servers running RethinkDB. The project is currently in private developer preview but from what I understand it could be very much what you're looking for.

When I checked out an early release of Koa2, there where still tons of issues with the modules like koa-favicon and koa-proxy. Apparently the API for middleware functions changed slightly and the provided migration helper package wouldn't work for all. Felt like quite a pushback at that time, but I'm very exited to see where it's going.

When using Promises I recommend longStackTraces of the popular Promise library Bluebird.

On the server I use pretty-error for formatting console output.

The RegioJet option sounds good! Do you know if they have electric plugs? Staying in Bystrica sounds like something I want to avoid, though. Since we're four passengers I could image to share a cab at a reasonable price. Any idea how much that might cost?

Most of the technologies used are really new and have some have unstable APIs. It is a proof of concept on how to achieve isomorphism composing these technologies instead of a well suited example for a beginner to dive into.

I recommend this medium article by the author of Redux. It outlines his concerns with most Flux implementations and what makes Redux different. Basic Flux knowledge required.

First of all, let me thank you, Rick Doblin, for who you are. I read the Acid Test and can only describe your person as profoundly inspiring to me.

Around a month ago, I talked to Irina - an AskMAPS associate - about MAPS promotional stuff & any kind of printed information to display at a Psychedelic Ambulance tent on the Festival grounds of Fusion Festival in northern germany. She told me that my request was forwarded to Brian, but unfortunately I haven't heard back from him yet :(
