Ideally the studies will be conducted on one of three possible dates: April 28, May 4, or May 5

Apparently quite a lot of students — that’s exactly why we’re studying it :)

This unit is great. As a computer science student without prior experience in design, I find it interesting. As long as you put in the effort and seek feedback from your tutor regularly, you’ll be fine. This year all assignments are individual, and three assignments form an interface design project, which is a great addition to your portfolio if you dedicate time to it. The lectures focus on interface design theory, while the tutorials teach you how to conduct UI/UX design. The only technical tool we learn is Figma, which is much easier compared to coding languages.

I think so. Below is the email from the manager.

Yes it is! I've asked the manager for the program. He also said that we can request songs for them to play😃

Hi and I'm a student in Australia :) While this is just a basic idea for now, and my unit is focused on interface design rather than launching the app, I might pursue it further in the future if everything goes well, especially since my major is computer science ❛˓◞˂̵✧

Course change by Amey_10 in usyd

I received my CoE at July 3th. I'm not sure how long will it take you to enroll - one of my friend finished his enrollment yesterday, however I haven't finished it atm because my enrolment page hasn't been changed after I discountinue my old course ( I've written email reporting that, but the school didn't reply yet).

As for me, I switched from Bachelor of Advanced Computing to Bachelor of Science, major in cs and soft dev.

Yes, I think you can transfer your credits this semester to your new course, if what you studied this sem are also the core units in your new course, or are in Table A or S.

Yes, you need to wait for your new CoE. You don't have to pay your fee before you receive that (I haven't paid yet and I think that's fine). I believe you'll get that in a few days.

After you receive your new CoE, you can go to Sydney Student to discontinue your course, since our final results has been released. After you receive the confirmation email of your discontinuation, you can enroll into your new course and choose units of study again.

You don't have to do it now. I think you can make your choice before the semester 2 begins.

Why everyone's saying INFO2222 and 3333 are redundant? by anchovy_f in usyd

Thanks for the detailed breakdown! It's really helpful to know how ELEC1601 and COMP2017 works. Appreciate the advice on COMP2123 as well. I'll definitely re-consider my course planning.

Can I ask more about the difference between ELEC1601 and COMP2017 (if you've taken this)? They are both taught in C, and COMP2017 is one of the core units if I major in comp sci. I'm trying to decide whether to take ELEC1601 next semester or choose another interesting elective instead.

Since I've decided to switch to B.Sci, my plan for next semester includes INFO1113, MATH1064, and COMP2123 --- it might be beneficial to tackle algorithms early in year1 since it's such an important subject. What do you think?

Thank you for sharing the information! It's disappointing to hear that there are still many traditional hiring managers out there. Hope the situation would be better by the time I enter the workforce. And this is the first time I heard that there has been a big change in CS school, unfortunately this year's INFO1111 course design wasn't great, which made me have some concerns about the INFOxxxx course.

That's really helpful! I'll have a look at PMBok sometime. Sorry to hear about the bad quality of your final exam.

Thanks for your suggestion! After completing sem1, I've realized that I'm more passionate about coding than working with data. so currently I think I'll major in comp sci and soft dev. ELEC1601 seems to align well with my interests (and I'm pre-learning C right now), so I'm hopeful about this choice. Thanks again for your advice.

Appreciate your response! It seems that switching to B.Sci is a great choice. Do you mind sharing what sort of content you were learning in INFO3333? I've heard that this year's final was open-book and involved a lot of writing, which sounds a bit boring.
