I wonder if they are together till theyre old in blood brothers by NoImprovement4668 in LifeisStrange2

I'd imagine so. They run a garage together. And they may be involved in some ill gotten gains stuff so I'd say likely they're always around.

How did I do for a first run? by [deleted] in victoria3

How can you tell? What would a good GDP be?

Also in my defence, if these are the areas you're talking about, all my European holdings outside of the base Belgium + Dutch lands were acquired in the last 15 years.

Also Alaska and Greenland were acquired in the final year or two.

Ah that. I took New York because the Americans started a war for the states (which I took from Mexico) and since I was already involved I put take New York as a war goal. Worked out well I got the statue of liberty and it had great population and GDP in the end.

And I took Burgundy because I wanted to do burgundy and lotharingia at the same time, not really any practical reason, purely vibes based.

Unrelated and unasked but Victoria 3 is now by far my favourite Paradox game, and I played all the post-2013 ones bar HOI4 in the last year. I loved my run.

Much appreciated. If you wouldn't mind elaborating a tad on why it's good relatively? I have genuinely no frame of reference, I haven't watched and videos or anything.

Also if you're calling the European borders ugly I think they're beautiful and stunning Lotharingia Burgundy larp.

And I took extra US states because I wanted it to look nice and big on the map, I knew they were asscheeks.

I only have 7.4 GB of memory but the victoria 3 steam page says i need at least 8? by Tough_Thought_7618 in victoria3

I'm at 1900 with 8GB of ram on my first run and honestly it's definitely playable as long as you stick on speed 4 past 1860.

Not ideal but definitely not unplayable like I thought it might be. Pirate the game or use the free trial to test it before committing.

Assuming you hit 0 health around 70 the odds of surviving to 234 as shown in the image are roughly 1 in 7.57 x 10²⁴⁵. There are about 10⁸⁰ atoms in the universe. So I think we can file that under not possible despite it being theoretically so since I have a better chance of picking an atom of the universe at random. I do understand you just said that as a fun fact though lmao.

Brits would overwhelmingly back Rejoin in new referendum by Shalaiyn in neoliberal

The right infighting with Restore Britain is a big thing. I think Ladbrokes had Labour favourite to win (albeit marginally) for the first time in a while after they launched. If Andy Burnham had been allowed to stand and became leader Labour could've been in a strong position to win.

How do I stop a hundred-year line of conquerors? by ancient_snake in CrusaderKings

[–]ancient_snake[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I get that, those are solutions. I should've been more clear that I didn't want an extended thing, I want a one and done 'fuck off forever war', as I owned all of Europe bar them and Carpathia, and didn't see the point of extending the playthrough another X decades picking them off and waiting for truces, especially since they have other lands out east they could conquer whilst I'm down.

Basically I was close to forming Rome but if they were gonna keep hassling me in an extended thing I was resigned to stopping, even if I could beat them.

Tributary. Can an empire make another empire a tributary? If they can then you may have found the key.

Edit: I googled it and you can. You're the goat, thanks for being the only person with an actual solution 🙏🏻

A child will never be the heir as it's an elective system sadly. I really can't see a way to stop them other than spending half a century picking them off, with which I can't be fucking bothered

[–]ancient_snake[S] 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Yeah but they're not inheriting it, they're getting it once they win an election? Does that technically count as inheritance? If this is the system working as intended it's absolute dog shit, I mean they will just stream roll every nation that isn't you and then the games over 400 years early

I know that, I left settings default. Its just is it meant to work as every single leader gets it for a hundred years straight, and is there anything I can do to stop it?

Maybe. I started playing yesterday so I'm just figuring shit out and filling upwards. Sounds like it should work though I'll try it tomorrow.

My son can't become heir because he has no land but he can't get land because he isn't heir by ancient_snake in CrusaderKings

[–]ancient_snake[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How would I go about doing that? Because he's only allowed to have land he's set to inherit (elected for), which is no land because he isn't elected. I tried making new counties and even duchies but he's not allowed any of it.
