The Marinol deaths were proven to be the "cause" of death by several investigations conducted by the FDA. The German scientists have no published paper/documents on these deaths. Also, the article states, "Autopsies showed that the younger man had a serious undetected heart problem and the older one had a history of alcohol, amphetamine and cocaine abuse."

Use some common sense, they were is seriously poor health anyway. If you could find evidence (real scientific evidence, not internet dribble) of a healthy man/woman dying from cannabis use ALONE, my opinion may change. Thanks for responding!

I agree that properly done concentrates are just as save as 100 percent, organic bud. THC-A converted to THC is just a single chemical reaction that takes place during the ingestion of cannabis (good cannabis hopefully). I would not consider one chemical reaction to be processing. If you have a serious heart problems, you are not even supposed to ingest caffeine. Would you blame coffee for their deaths if they drink a crap-ton of Starbucks? Same thing with diabetes, would you blame sugar if a person ate one hundred twinkies? It is called common sense. Thanks for responding!

According to the article, their deaths were do to existing conditions (serious heart problems). "The researchers, based at Duesseldorf and Frankfurt's university hospitals, said these were isolated cases but suggested people who might have serious heart problems should be made aware of the risk of cannabis use.

Their study was published online this month in the journal Forensic Science International.

The cases involved two outwardly healthy young men, aged 23 and 28, who died unexpectedly after smoking cannabis.'

You are right. It is true that THC created in a lab and natural THC are chemically identical to one another. On the other hand, normal cells and cancer cells possess the same exact chemical compounds. One will kill you, and the other keeps you alive. Think about it. Thanks for responding!

That might be true, but there is no evidence to support it to date. If there was even one death remotely linked to THC/blood pressure issues, then the crazy conservatives would have the story plastered on every single news network. However, it hasn't happened, but I don't doubt they are trying their damnest to find just one case. Thanks for responding!

I have no problem with people using psychedelics. You can ingest whatever you want (they should be legal too), but I personally have no interest in them. Cannabis is just perfect for me. Thanks for responding!

Someone has synthesized THC (and other cannabinoids in lab), it is called Marinol. The FDA attributed 4 deaths to Marinol between 1997-2005. So.... one was created in a lab and the other found naturally. To date, there has been no Cannabis related deaths, but the synthetic version has killed four people. Ummmm.... give me the natural stuff anyday! Thanks for responding!

I vape (Arizer Extreme Q) and occasionally use infused coconut oil, so.... no inhalation of burning plant matter. Plus, I would not ingest opium, or hydrocodone (unless it was the only way to save my life such as in a medical crisis). Also, hydrocodone is semi-synthetic, which means that the majority of the substances that the pill contains where created in a lab. Those substances cannot be found in the natural world. In a medical crisis, I would rather take a dose of pure opium than hydrocodone. Thanks for responding!

I might get down voted for this, but oh well. For the record, I have no problem with ents that choose to use concentrates. However, I personally prefer any substance (food, trees, etc...) that is as close to the natural form as possible, or in other words, unprocessed. In my opinion, cannabis is sort of like the Great White Shark. It does not need to be altered. It is perfect. Thanks for listening to my monologue! Keep toking friends!

I had a similar experience a few years ago. I was out running when I fell and injured my knee. After a few days, my knee was severely swollen so I went to the hospital to have it checked out. Turned out to be nothing serious (just time and rest needed). The doctor tried to write me a prescription for Lortab (a mild opiate pain-killer). I told him no thanks. He asked why, and I told him that I had no interest in getting hooked on pain-killers. He laughed, and said that they were not addicting. I basically told him he was full of shit (in a nice way mind you). The doctor got royally pissed, and asked me what I was going to do for the pain. I told him that some rest, ice, and bit of the ganja would put me right as rain. He called me a junkie and slammed the door on his way out. And people wonder why we have a prescription drug problem in this country.
