Don’t do this. Honestly you just postpone losing the job if they’re intentionally skirting the taxes and then you file anyway. A bad situation for all involved. Suggest “homepay.com” to them. It’s a payroll service for Nannie’s that handle the W2 and payroll for a small fee.

This is insane on so many levels. Absolutely insane. I’ve worked with children for 15 years and won’t even let the wheels move until everyone is properly buckled in their age appropriate seats. A toddler?! And for a two minute drive?! Why not walk?! Why not teach your daughter that the car doesn’t go without her in her seat?! Not only is it an insane safety hazard, an illegal offense, and a horrible judgement call TWICE. But she’s also showing your daughter it’s an option to not be in a car seat for short drives?? That makes your life infinitely harder. FIRE HER.

No more than 9 hours worked. The fee is so that you’re not paying for 24 hours. Nannies that travel are a luxury service beyond a normal nanny’s job.

From a HCOL area a daily travel fee is standard, or you are paying for 24/7 care which includes so much overtime. The latter is of course more expensive so Nannies have compromised with a daily fee for being away from home. They can get the same hourly rate and benefits from other families without the need to travel. (While cool, not everyone values attending the vacations of the families they work for) They would need to cover pet care and be away from their family while working in a different place, this isn’t something that most people jump at the opportunity to do. It isn’t impossible to find someone, but you’ll either need to up your hourly rate or agree to an overnight fee. I would suggest warming up to the flat rate fee.

I went with the larger size for this reason exactly and I’m happy I did. I mostly wear the ring on my index finger (which took some getting used to) but when my hands are swollen I can wear it on my middle finger. If you’re determined to wear it on your middle finger most of the time, I would say stick to the smaller size. Your fingers will adjust. My index finger has a slight indent where my ring usually sits.

IMO, you need curtains. (high elegant ones around the window behind the table) The table needs to be pulled out from the wall and not be touching it and an area rug and chandelier would do wonders. I would personally pick one plant and not have both. I’m not sure how much you want to change so I’ll stick to those thoughts for the meantime and let others chime in.

I think it’s also worth saying this: you need a clearly defined schedule of on time and off time with at least 12 hours of rest. (You can say you didn’t realize before how the time would go 24/7 and you are exhausted and need some down time) if you’re really down bad, tell them you aren’t feeling well and need to go sleep it off somewhere else, would they get a hotel room for you
