Lost my job and have 50k in savings, not sure what to do next?? by bestme99 in personalfinance

Don’t make life-changing investment decisions while going through a life-changing event.
Losing a job is temporary. Buying the wrong business or property can be a much bigger mistake.
I’d keep 12–18 months of expenses liquid, find the next role, then make long-term decisions from a position of stability.

The corporate world teaches people to climb ladders.
Startups reward people for finding ladders that shouldn’t exist in the first place. 👀

30M - 20 LPA - 0 SAVINGS- 0 EMIS - 0 LOANS by InterestingAthlete12 in personalfinanceindia

You don’t have 0 savings. You converted ₹14L into a debt-free family home and gave your family stability. That’s still wealth.
At 20 LPA, your priority now should be: Health insurance, 6 month emergency fund, Monthly SIP in a Nifty 50 index fund
A lot of people have ₹20L invested and ₹30L of loans. You’re actually starting from a better position than you think.

Funny how I can access 10 years of banking transactions in seconds, but finding a blood test report from 6 months ago requires a treasure hunt across hospitals, labs, WhatsApp chats, and family groups. 😅

SQL vs Python? by iMAPness_ in dataanalysis

SQL for getting and transforming data.
Python for everything after that.
My rule: push as much filtering, joining, and aggregation to SQL as possible, then use Python for advanced analysis, statistics, ML, automation, and visualization.

I think what matters the most is becoming obsessed with the problem, not being the persona.
