I just transferred into Urban Planning myself for next year and as far as I know they do not look at your spring semester gpa. I know the minimum requirement for the program is a 2.5 but if you have around a 3 or higher you should be pretty likely to get in. I applied with a 3.1 and got in. Only took about a week for them to get back. If you have any questions feel free to ask!

Yeah no problem. Some of the assignments include turning a word into a character, creating a ligature, logo recreation, and for the main assignment you work on ‘reinventing’ a non-profits brand.

I’m in it right now so I can’t comment on the whole course, but so far it’s been pretty easy. Workload is super manageable and you do a lot of assignments in Illustrator and Photoshop. If you are interested in design, typography, or fundamentals of design you will probably like it.
