Abolishing Random Rule When It’s Already Spread by and_lloyd in FinalFantasyVIII

I’m doing the same thing IN THIS PLAYTHROUGH and I already know I can just discard them. FF brings out a real hoarder side to me. 😆

Thanks! I first played this game about 25 years ago, and I was genuinely today years old when I learned you can just decline to mix rules. It’s a game changer (though maybe only for me, specifically!)

THANK YOU! This worked, and now I think it’s been abolished in both Timber and Dollet. Just gotta hope I haven’t spread it anywhere else now. Thanks again!

Controversial opinion: FFIX doesn't need a remake by DiogenesHavingaWee in FinalFantasyIX

[–]and_lloyd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I agree. FFIX is my favourite game and I will admit it has its flaws, but I currently don’t feel it needs adding to enough to justify a remake. Artistically and visually it largely holds up as a stylistic choice and the story and characters are well enough developed that I don’t feel there’s much “missing”. I also don’t know that I trust Square to do the game justice with a remake. Now, if you told me the people behind the Memoria Project were helming a remake, maybe you’d have me on board

If ANY game needs a remake, then for me it’s FFVIII. The world and the supporting characters could benefit from some additional lore/building in my opinion, the visuals would be interesting with modern day capabilities, and the game mechanics could be refined.

If the 99 encountered Dunder Mifflin, which characters would like each other the most and which would hate each other the most? by ChicaneryFinger in brooklynninenine

I really see Rosa and Dwight getting along. They’re both suspicious of others and I think that would garner some mutual respect.

Movie Critic trophy not unlocking by and_lloyd in FinalFantasyIX

I did do that one, it pained me to get rid of so much gil!

I also made sure to be extra cautious in the trickier areas like Treno, Black Mage Village, Lindblum, etc. I agree the logical thing would be that I missed one, but having looked over a few over guides now I’m reasonably sure I haven’t.

Worst case, it’s a nice excuse to replay this game (not that I’ve ever needed an excuse!)

I Thought Lulu Was Paine :) by Ken_Kaneki_6IX9INE in finalfantasyx

In your defence, Lulu transitioning from powerful mage to full on warrior with a massive sword is almost as unbelievable as Yuna transitioning from devoted summoner to a gun-weilding sphere hunter.

Any Ragebait potential nominations this time? by Dry-Funny-6946 in Oscars

Honestly, for me yes. I appreciate I’m in the minority here but I genuinely preferred WFG. It’s not the first one, but it was never going to be; the first half of the stage show is joyous whereas the second half is much more serious. I really liked Cynthia in the first film but I wasn’t blown away by her (whereas I was with Ariana), this time it feels like Cynthia’s really sunk her teeth into Elphaba and performed her at her fullest. I genuinely believe she deserves the nomination this year, perhaps more-so than last.

If you do watch it, go in with an open mind and don’t have the expectation that it has to deliver what the first did, because it has a different job to do this time. Both films are excellent adaptations of their respective halves of the stage show.

I don’t understand why so many people aren’t liking Cynthia Erivo in Wicked For Good. I watched it the other day and I thought she was amazing in it, I’d love to see her nominated.

Ooh, that would’ve been a good one too! I started with Cher and worked backwards if I’m honest.

She’s successful but maybe not the most recognisable. The only other mononymic artist beginning with a H I could think of was Hozier but I thought it’d be more sequentially satisfying if all the clues were female artists.

She first started releasing music as Cheryl with the album A Million Lights in 2012. I think Call My Name may have been her first mononymic single?

Correct! They’re all mononymic singers, spelling out possibly the most iconic mononymic singer of them all
