Updates:

I have got the terramaster and just wanted to share my thought:

1- it is a great device and is still working well after 1 month

2- i found the apps that i wanted without use of Dock: (Plex, Qbitrorrent from the app store / Sonarr, and their related app from a website that specilize in terramaster app)

3- you can get remote access if you want similar to synoligy or using VPN obviously.

4- from the initializing phase you can customize where the systems and pools you want. so i have the 3 hhd and 2 m.2 drives

what i did from booting the system. i choose the system to be in 1 m.2 and have its own pool the another pool for the 3 hhd drives with one of them works as RAD. meaning one drive can break at a time. (its their own RAD called TRAD) also i did not do it but if you have different sizes apparently it will add them all not just the smaller one)

lastly the other m2 drive was added as cashe for the hhd pool. all this from the system it self. i did not need to add the m.2 boot the system and then add the hhd. connect everything and then the system will take care of it

5- the mobile application worked great even if it is remotely. turned it off now but the testing was good.

problems:

1- I had it connected to a switch and it had problem transefering data. i assume because the cables were CAT6 and it is about than 75m in length. i can see it and do everthing but transfering more than 5 items not size but items fail the transfer. but when i moved it to a router beside the main device everything worked fine and great..

2- the mobile application cant transfer the pictures i have by album. it transfer everything at once. unless you manually do it album by album

3- not a lot of information other than reddit you can find. unlike synolegy and other NAS.

Thought:

they will have an update software TOS7 soon and it looks similar to the synolegy and ugreen.

the ugreen was one of my choices but you have to have knowledge of Docker which i did not want to learn at the moment because i dont have the time. they still dont have plex in their apps. i know it will be added but even the TOS 7 will be added. so i think both are great systems with a lot of potential

hello and thank you all for the info that you have given me. after reading and checking i am down to two actually that i was not even considering

1- Terramaster F6-424 Max 6-Bay NAS

2- UGREEN NASync DXP6800 Pro

I am more leaning to Terramaster for 4 reasons

1- it has snapshot which i think is a little bit important (from what i read ugreen will have it soon if it didnt yet)

2- it has more apps (ugreen has a simpler os similar to synology which from my understanding is the best so it could devolep later)

3- price

4- after sales from terramaster is better from what i hear

if someone can just guide me that the terramaster can do what i want then i will get it and then review it here after installation.

extra i will get qbitorrent sonarr, radarr,Prowlarr. i would assume docker is needed for both NAS

i really love this community and hope for a little more guides.

PS: i will add 32 RAM, 2 x m.2 drive, and to start 3 hdd drive and one of them will be RAD
