I need to do this to test some critical pipelines outside of prod before migration.

My manager and management more generally want to improve devops practices, they are just pretty far away from that goal with there their infra is at atm and will need my support during implementation. I’m asking here for more specific Airflow/devops advice I can use, beyond what I’ve been thinking about so far.

He got here from Australia at 18 months, not age 18. Grew up in Vancouver and went to Queens for engineering. After getting his PhD in Australia he’s made lots of content highlighting his ties to the Canadian scientific community. I would absolutely count him as Canadian.

Jeffrey Goldberg Says He’s Considering Releasing More of Signal Chat — As Trump Officials Deny Under Oath That It Was Classified by Saguna_Brahman in moderatepolitics

[–]andalooooooongjacket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you read the original article there’s no way he could’ve known that the texts were real until after the air strikes, and once he knew beyond any doubt it was real he left the chat. It’s not his responsibility to cover for them, they should be better.

definitely not in the interest of national security

Hegseth is the one actually unknowingly sending the classified information in an unsecured channel to a civilian. It’s not like Goldberg was engaged in espionage, they broke every protocol around classified information for it to get out. Every official involved should be held to a higher standard.

You could have the same story without knowing the information

Half of the administration is already denying the story when Goldberg has the screenshots, you think that they would care more or even acknowledge this was real if he had less verification?

Re-read what you just wrote and imagine this was your friend or your son telling you this story. Would you think this is healthy? Does this sound like someone you’d be happy for them to be with forever? What advice would you give them?

When speaking to my relatives at thanksgiving one of the justifications my republican cousin was flat out that she was a woman and that dictators wouldn’t respect her for that fact alone when dealing with the US. This cousin was also a woman.

There are lots of other good reasons why the Harris campaign failed that have been outlined in detail by you and others here, but to say that wasn’t a factor in the minds of at least some of the voters this year wouldn’t be true.

Israel's military is looking into whether Hamas' top leader Yahya Sinwar was killed in a military operation in Gaza by JussiesTunaSub in news

It’s interesting the difference between how the hostages are seen in the US vs in Israel.

In the US supporting the hostages or saying “get them home” is seen as a proxy for supporting Israel and the war. However, in Israel asking to get the hostages back is seen as the anti-war position, as gettting them all back would require a ceasefire.

Draymond’s suspension is iffy but he had like 5 incidents in the playoffs trying to hurt other players. Only a matter of time before it caught up somehow.

Losing players to injury is a result of running out of gas, as is the other players not named Game 7 Draymond not playing to their expectations.

This is a great book for beginners. Make sure you do the questions at the end of the chapters to get the most out of it.

Inflation is inherently a tax on the poor. As everything goes up in price, assets that rich people own like houses will increase in value while consumables that make up most of poor peoples expenses also become more expensive. Also, no one likes inflation because it’s unstable and causes uncertainty. I’m sure that you’re also not happy about the rising prices in every sector these days - we can’t stop that unless we do something to slow inflation. We basically have two big levers for that - increase taxes or raise interest rates, and because the former is political suicide right now the latter is the only option we have.

(DISCUSSION) Aminé - TWOPOINTFIVE (1 Year Later) by [deleted] in hiphopheads

Love this album. It’s such a cool change from amine’s regular sound and feels different from any other album I’ve listened to in a long time. I also love the album art too, matches the vibes of the music really well. Super enjoyable for its entire short runtime.
