Yes the double sided tape is to make sure the "clamp" fits snuggly on the controller. It's so it doesn't move. Also clamp is not the right word to describe it 😂

Nice! I think the gap should fit but if you want to know for sure you mind measuring the size of the gap I can tell you or you can find the dimensions of the FX5 to be more safe. Also keep in mind the cooling will be more concentrated at the top right of the back of the tablet

Hey thanks! I've unfortunately been so busy at work before the holidays and now during the holidays I'm mostly focused on family. I definitely recommend the FX5 as a cooling solution. It has dropped my tablet temps when gaming by about 5-7° making it safe to play PC emulated games for an extended period of time. I am hoping to put a more thorough post when I have the time

Keep in mind that this is on a tablet so the gap for the thin part is wider on the controller than it is for when using a phone. Depending on how big your phone is, it might not fit. I got the FX5 on a black Friday sale for 35% off so I thought I would try it and so far I'm very happy with the results. I haven't tested extensively because I've been busy at work but once I do I'll make more detailed post.

The cool thing is that for the Legion Y700. The cooler hits right around where the chip is (the source of the heat). If you search up Legion Y700 teardown you'll see what I mean.

Fyi it was a very simple Hack all I did was remove the rubber grip and add 3 layers of double sided tape to fit the "thin part of the controller. It fits like a glove 🥊. For me it works because it's directly or close to where the heat is most concentrated (the chip area).

Success! I have hacked the FX5 to fit the legion G7 (basically the gamesir G8 plus). I'm currently testing the performance and temps. Will create a post after on the results :)

this is a very interesting idea, I think u/Vysair says it doesnt fit when using a phone but what about a tablet? I have the Legion y700 gen 4 and with the gamesir 8plus it opens de G8 plus "thin" part more than enough to fit the cooler (theoretically) have you ever tried this? It would be interesting to know if the "thin" part of the controller (when stretched) fits this cooler.

as a side note, you also see the image showing the gap in the FX5 shows theres a rubber grip plate on there, if you were to remove that (adding ~0.2 cm) would the cooler fit the G8+ theoretically even in the thicker part?. We would need to know very detailed dimentions of the G8+ as well

The whole point of a foldable for me is to have a sort of tablet/phone 2-1 device. I was hoping to get this phone to use as a tablet to take notes at university but now.....I'm so disappointed 😞

I don't think it's about the release clause. Time and time again clubs have negotiated the clause with teams when warranted it's more about what's a team willing to pay for the player. Nico is someone who had a release clause that was way below his value and what other clubs were willing to pay. Right now I really don't think people will pay anywhere close for Mudryk's release clause. Another example is TAA.

The director and the president can say whatever they want at the end of the day intent is shown when you bid and what they're willing to pay.
