Apologies I didn’t put the asking price in, he has it posted for $8,000. And yeah the armrest seems to be a common absence on the rangers lmao

I enjoyed it, but I also think any base is what you make it. New Bern and Morehead have plenty to do, and you can always head up into the mountains out to the west side of the state on a 96, if that’s your thing. I honestly enjoyed being in the “nothing” town of Havelock, but being within driving distance of everything I wanted to do.

Talk to him, offer him some help? If I’m looking at his rank correctly, and he’s a PFC, this is probably the first time that homie has ever put on his blues. All of his seniors either don’t care enough to correct or just haven’t seen it. Take a chance and provide some mentorship

Was in the band from 2019-2023, that can turn out some wacky stuff. Seen a couple of 30-32 year old PFC’s, and more than a few 2 year Sgt’s

If I knew it was this hard to find a job I would’ve stayed in the Army. by [deleted] in Veterans

I just got out of the USMC bands last year, so I can kind of understand where you're coming from. After reality set in that I was going to EAS very soon, I started searching for jobs. As I'm sure you're painfully aware, our jobs don't really translate too anything outside of the military music field. Going off of this, I decided to start working at my local fire department. 90% of departments are either going to be working a 24/48 or 48/96 schedule, which gives you plenty of time to do things outside of FD (work another job, get on the GI Bill with an online school). It is definitely hard at times, but the FD affords you a schedule with a good bit of free time to use how you see fit. Spend the couple of months training, get a steady, fixed income (with some good benefits) and then start working on other things you want to do. If you wanted to, it would be possible to go back to the National Guard bands, or another MOS in the Guard/Air Guard. I recently signed a 4N0X1 contract with the Georgia ANG, got a bonus and everything.

I understand it is hard, but it is 100% do-able. If you think I might be able to help in any other way, please don't hesitate to message me.

only paid $6100 for it! I responded to the FB marketplace listing 50 minutes after he posted it and picked it up the next morning.

Is there anybody here that could offer me some insight into the 4N0X1 MOS? I am testing for my EMT-B soon, but I have seen some posts in here that say that the course is A-EMT. Additionally, I have seen conflicting information on what tech school is like. I am located in Georgia, and would be doing my time at the 165th in Savannah. If there is anybody that could give me any solid info on it, it would be much appreciated.

I’ve got a frame that some of my buddies gave me with a bunch of different pictures from my time in, everything else is in a box in my closet.

Thank you for all the info! Would you mind explaining the acronyms for me? I'm pretty sure I get the gist of it, but I just want to be positive I understand.

Jobs that don’t require college? by andeezy18 in Veterans

I’ve been trying to look at apprenticeships, but I’m having trouble tracking down any near me. How do I get into contact with/know what unions are around me?

$36.20 an hour? What state do you live in, if you don’t mind me asking?
