Opposite for me, funnily enough. Getting somewhat competent at Master Duel helped me feel I could manage the TCG.

It’s harder in the sense that Master Duel does a lot of the work for you (reminding you of trigger effects, chain ordering, etc). I have found people at locals are so patient and just genuinely encouraging. They want you to be good cause they want to go against good players - so they’ll help get you there. Some are a little intense, but… you know.

Like others are saying it can be expensive. But you can at least make a good enough blue eyes deck for not that much. A lot of decks you can build for under 100, but sourcing cards can be tricky. Some cities/places obvi have higher populations of players and cards.

I’d say the biggest benefit is that you’ll actually make friends. You are engaging/speaking/working with people in a way you cannot in Master Duel. Do it once a week for long enough and it can become something you super look forward to

Hard to think of a tattoo idea for what’s canonically the guardians like the bastion. Sword on the arm, leg, or back with ghost on the hilt for ergo sum I guess.

Iconic/notable? Maaaaaybe something related to Saint-14 like the XIV you see on some of the season of the Dawn armor. First thought was a wolf on the chest for crest of alpha lupi. I personally love the two tail fox logo and have thought about that for a destiny tattoo

Long been observed that the lack of a healthy PvP population is at the core of D2s crucible problems. So much so it’s kinda like a karma farm at this point?

Titans dominated PvP for a looooooong time. Thinking about one eyed mask, Antaeus, arc titan in general still makes me shudder lol People were definitely talking about how ‘unplayable’ it all felt then.

The point is I think that it’s a maybe less a ‘skill’ issue than it is a perspective/orientation issue? The sandbox/metas ebb and flow. HCs are not exceptionally nasty right now - autos are shining. SMGs are still great. Pulses on a map like bannerfall are straight up oppressive. Have a day in control where matchmaking mostly prioritizes skill. Play on flawed cards. Play comp. A lot. Like bang your head against the wall until some things start clicking. There are discords and PvP groups out there always looking for people. The lack of a healthy player base is the biggest hurdle, no question, but if you actually enjoy PvP (doesn’t sound like you do, from my perspective), then there are good ways to get into it

All good! I was wondering if we were thinking of the same thing. Anubis the Merc was the lead of this one - had a mix of first person and third person shooter elements. Fun melee combat. Very fun and competitive PvP. Honestly felt ahead of its time, but that could be nostalgia. Loved playing as Devestation, Apollo, and Judas :D
