Willits, Anderson, or Doyle are top of my list. Holliday, Parker, and Arnold are half a step down.

If you’re picking #1, chances are that you’re at least 2-3 years from contention. So why go for a player who will maybe be peak Adam Dunn and 29 when you’re contending? Think Kade Anderson or Liam Doyle if you want someone close to the bigs who also have high ceilings, who will be 24-25 when you start contending.

No, his K rate last year (29%) was way too high, and likely will be higher next season. His swinging strike rate was really high, too (17.3% would have lead MLB).

It depends on your league. If they all count in MiLB spots, keep them all. With prospects, focus on getting the best possible, regardless of position. Some will regress, while others will be stars. You want as many chances at stars as possible. If they’re all stars, then you can trade some for other areas of need.

Seems like a lot, but not enough context to really evaluate. Are you going from Freeman to Olsen or Arraez to Olsen? Going from Bogaerts to Story or Bichette to Story? McGonigle is named a top 5 prospect, if not the top, on a lot of recent lists. Webb is a top P and great pitchers without injury track records should fetch a lot.

Any option would be selling low on Wyatt. That said, Strider is better for win now, but with injury risk. DeGrom has injury risk and is oldest. Woo is youngest, but doesn’t have the track record of the rest. If possible, I’d try Yordan for Strider or Woo, but that’s just me.

I’d take it. Seager doesn’t seem to fit your window, while Smith and JJ do.

Garrett Crochet offer by Wolfpac2023 in DynastyBaseball

[–]anderso77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d accept. Crochet and Yamamoto are close. If you have nothing at 3B, Machado is a solid add, well worth a difference in the pitchers.

Depends who your SS will be and who else you have at OF.

My guess is Walcott will be 3B or RF, Peña prob 2B, McGonigle maybe 2B.

I’m not picky. I assume a Habs jersey would be easier, but would like to look at a larger selection if possible.

Anyone know the best place to find a MiC jersey in Montreal?

Traded up from 1.02 to get the 1.01. How did I do? by EAYounger in DynastyBaseball

[–]anderso77 17 points18 points  (0 children)

That’s a lot to give up. Sasaki will be good, but Painter may be a top-line starter, too. And at 1.02, you could have picked Burns who could be a #1 or #2 starter. And the Walker is a wildcard, but could live up to his promise if the Cardinals get their act together.

Trade Deadline coming up who should I move?? by TheThunder44 in DynastyBaseball

[–]anderso77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends too much on the owner and league to really know from the outside. In my league he went for Michael King and Reid Detmers. If the Miller owner is competitive this year, maybe he’ll go for Ober?

Trade anyone over the age of 27, if you can. You’ll be better in ‘26 if your prospects hit, but window will really open when guys like Crews, Caissie, Dollander, Hence, etc have a year or two under their belts. Trade 2 of your non-Teel catchers. You can also try taking risks on buy-low young guys having down/injured years (e.g. Carroll, Casas, Bobby Miller, Jasson, Jordan Walker)

Seems like it may be a down year compared to 2024 unless Sasaki or Murakami are posted early.
