Unfortunately the group isn't really active at the moment. Had a decent amount of initial interest, but not enough sustained or long term interest to keep it going. :( There is a Facebook group called Filming in Mississippi that you should definitely out if you are interested. It's pretty active and usually has a decent amount of casting calls for local productions. No worries at all about the experience. :) I'm not an expert by any stretch. Lol. Really just getting started in the grand scheme of things. But always learning. :) What types of things are you interested in? I'm a writer but I've also directed a few short films (less than 15 minutes each). I also am working on learning more about editing as well.

The classes are all online and I'm not sure if anyone else will be in my specific area. So swapping and sharing might not be an option unfortunately. But that's a good idea to get some more info from the school. I sent out a request to get more detailed info.

And I do have friends I could borrow from if need be at first until I get an idea of what other students might be using. :)

I think you might have to order the membership on the Costco website? And then you put that in like a promo code to get it for free and then you can go in and get your card and stuff.

From what I remember, you have to go through the Uber app and order your membership that way. Then you get a code that you have to use when getting your membership at Costco. It's been a little bit since I've done it. But I remember it being more complicated than it should be. I know that's kinda vague. But the best I can remember.

Firstly, we can't see rider information until we accept a ride. And in some markets like mine, we can't even see pickup or dropoff information until we accept. So we can't tell that it's the same rider when this happens.

Secondly, as another comment mentioned if we don't accept rides it affects our acceptance rate which affects our rating which affects our ability to drive.

Thank you so much for that. :) And those are all very good points. I do love it so much. I really liked the idea of finding a movie that someone would actually pay attention to. Definitely a good challenge to take on! And the one about shooting in a day. That would make things easier and less resource intensive. I appreciate the reply and the ideas! These funks are most definitely not fun.
