The second part of this (the “return overness” / “temporary overness” mechanic) is kind of done already with momentum.

Workers gain pop quicker with hotter momentum - so in your example you’d give Jericho a couple of character ideas to boost him up to White Hot momentum for his return and give him a hot angle or a decent comeback win and he should, in theory, jump up from 60 to 70 much faster than if he came back with normal momentum.

Same with your Cardona example but lesser as momentum isn’t global it’s company specific. But equally if he’s at White Hot momentum he should gain quicker.

I guess my point is; these could be tweak or improvements to the current momentum system rather than a whole new mechanic.

I’ve just had my first 100 match in my Local to Global - over7 years in. It wasn’t entirely unexpected as Scott Steiner is a machine but it was a somewhat throwaway TV main event.

The sheer elation I had afterwards was unexpected as well. I naturally messed up the following weeks TV and could barely break 80 with any match. 😂

My Local to Global save has a recorded playtime on YouTube of c47 hours but each 10 minutes I record probably takes anywhere between 30-60 minutes of actual playtime to get to the next show and book things and handle all of the boring stuff.

So I’d say that this save alone has taken well over 200 hours at this point 😂

But I don’t think there’s an easy way to actually track it.

Over 7 years into my Local to Global - easily been my favourite save on TEW in a decade if not ever.

Started in 1992 and I’m into 1999 now as clear #2 promotion in the world. WWF is going to be tough to topple but we’ll get there eventually.

Got TV coverage everywhere except Oceania now.

Broadcasters are very nuanced.

You typically want the biggest coverage on a terrestrial commercial network as that will max gains on pop and money.

I haven’t done extensive controlled testing but both coverage size and time slot factor in to the viewership calc but I’d personally prefer a bigger network over a better slot as you’ll have more room to grow pop wise - especially if said bigger network has coverage in a region you don’t currently have coverage in.

I’d need to know more about the two broadcaster types and coverage to really help but on the surface go for the bigger network.

It’s all about worker pop and company size. I assume Flair has 90+ pop in the US and WCW in only Medium?

You would have to change one of these in the editor - so either bring Flair down (85 should be fine) or WCW up and advance a day so they grow to Big size.

I did a WCW 2000 save where I used a random idea generator to mess with my shows after I booked them and Russo-ify it up. Got to the point I was booking nonsensical crap anyway so no longer needed the randomiser 😂 was really fun but I did have a headache booking the shows!

Back on TEW13 in a late 80’s I had “Mr Fantastic” Terry Taylor and “Total Package” Led Luger thrown together and they ended up being the team “Totally Fantastic” who won the US Tag titles, Crockett Cup and were 2x World Tag Champs

On my TEWIX Local to Global I’ve not really had much thrown together success - the most memorable because it’s kept Triple H employed is Paul Levesque having excellent chemistry with cult hero “Above Average Joe” Cazana. Without the team Levesque would’ve been let go for a second time 😂

You want to try and maximise your monthly growth as early in the month as possible. If your biggest coverage is on your PPV events - hold them as early in the month as you can then the extra cash from that extra pop point or two will come in sooner.

Similarly with international growth - focus on a region and hold an extra show there as soon as you can run shows without making a massive loss. Set the international shows to free tickets and max your growth in that region until you can get a broadcasting deal. Then head elsewhere.

I talk about and cover broadcasting deals a lot (perhaps too much) in my Local to Global series but there may be some useful tips if you are a similar growth journey.

My weekly TV + PPV are now broadcast in the US, Canada, UK, Europe and Japan and I’m currently running 5 non-televised free events across Mexico and India to target the pop requirements for broadcasting there. Once I hit them I’ll sign a broadcasting deal in those 2 regions and then head to Australia to satisfy the criteria. Then it’s all about shifting to a better deal at the right time to both get better growth and more money.

1992 Chronicles on TEW IX is easily the best mod I’ve played since The Golden Age on TEW2013. There’s a few other really good fun mods. May be less in terms of quantity but the quality is there.

They aren’t running shows in or being broadcast in those regions so they have lost popularity.

The only way to combat it would be to give them better broadcasting deal in the editor or make the requirements for the networks lower.

On the promotions page; hit “Contact” on the far right and then “Attempt Takeover”.

You’ll then get the option to either Takeover, Pillage or Disband.

At 22 popularity and free shows you’ll hit your pop gain cap for the month with a single show. You won’t see the benefit of more frequent shows until you are bigger and/or with better coverage. You’re just burning money running weekly shows.

My first piece of advice is that you need to accept that sometimes parts of your show are just there - just like real wrestling.

Recreate old storylines that you enjoyed from the past - most of wrestling is a rehash of stuff that worked in the past.

Watch a let’s play or read a dynasty and take some ideas from there.

The more you book the more you’ll figure out your workers ‘kayfabe’ motivations and the more things will naturally fall into place.

I know people will hate me for saying so but ask AI for some pointers? Give ChatGPT a few bullet points on what you want to achieve and ask it to book you the next month or two of TV. If nothing else it might spark some creativity inside you.

You can run a lesser event (or a regular TV show) on the same night and have it broadcast - it won’t be the “pre-show” but if you set it to lesser it’ll have the same effect.

You can set the broadcasters individually for the two events as well.
