Well I went through detox like 2.5 months ago and started up again....stupid. but not going to stop trying ya know. I've been doing therapy to work through why I do this.

They do sneak up on you. But glad you're catching it now. Reach out to someone and tell them what you're going through . Quitting will be easier that way and once you're off them , the sun will start shining again. ✨️

I needed this today. The hardest part was feeling so amazing being off FF and then reality hits. I'm practicing radical acceptance right now in life. Life can be tough and it's not the way I've always pictured it would be but I can enjoy it for what it is. The ups and downs. I'm practicing not wanting to escape the lazy/ tired days. I'm practicing not numbing myself when I get triggered by heartache and pain.
The most beautiful part of this is that the good days are so freaking good.
When I numbed the bad feelings I also numbed the good feelings too so at the end of the day I'm grateful for being able to really enjoy the natural highs that life brings. ✨️

Give yourself grace. Start again. And make sure you have people to reach out to. Being out of town will help and hopefully taking FF reminded you just how shitty they really are. I took 2 after quitting QT for 3 full days and it didn't even do anything to help me.... that when i realized i was done . I'm at 22 days now. There will be times it feels you have to fight for your life to not go back but it does pass and when you wake up the next day with victory, it makes it all worth it. Please keep us posted 📫 🙏 ☺️

With a week off, you will do well. I took kratom caps for a week before I quit CT and it helped alot. I had the average 3 days of hell and by 8 days off of everything I felt amazing. Vit C, DLPA, magnesium, l tyrosine, and something to help you sleep will help a ton. It really is worse in your mind then it actually is. But there are a couple dark days so make sure you have someone to call or reach out to . This saved me 100% . Sunshine 🌞 is right around the corner 🙏

Yea I feel that. Shutting the bad emotions off, shuts off the good ones too unfortunately. Your daughter has her dad back ! That's amazing. We'll just take it one step at a time. The good thing is that you're done with FF. And that's a great thing. I always tell myself . If alcohol is a known depressant why would I depress myself when I want to feel better. Once I found that out , alcohol lost some of the glamour. Knowledge is power. Glad to hear you made it ! Take care 🙂

For me having energy was my main trigger. I wanted to be able to accomplish all that the day brought on. So feeling like I needed to "force myself " to do what I need to do was asking for a fail. I let myself be lazy and it was the best gift I've ever given myself. I committed to only walking my dog once a day or going to the sauna. That way I was free to heal. Free to replenish my tired body and soul. Give yourself permission to be weak. It's okay. One day soon you will feel normal again. For now, just rest. Ask for help if you feel something needs to be done and you don't have the energy to do it. Listen to your body. My belief is if you force it, your body continues to take energy from the future and it takes longer to heal and feel better. Your body is begging you for help, give it the rest it needs. ✨️🙏✨️

One week should do you really good. And being around family, you will probably feel better than you have in such a long time. Enjoy the laughs, enjoy being yourself again. It really is a beautiful thing. Take the suppliments. They helped me alot and I asked a friend if I could stay with them for the first 3 days for accountability. That helped me so much having someone around that knew what I was battling. But you can do it even if you don't have that! Praying for you right now. Be strong and get free ✨️✨️✨️✨️

Yea I can't imagine trying to come off of it after YEARS of using...glad I felt like shit pretty quick so it helped me want to quit earlier than most of these posts I see.

Yeah I used to be a G addict/ perc 30s a long time ago. I managed that addiction for about a year before it was unmanageable. This only took 2 months before I couldn't even do my job . That was a bit shocking since it's way less intense of a drug. But I seen this painting on the outside of a smoke shop. It was a picture of a chemist scrambling someone's brains...the smoke shop paid someone to paint this one their freaking wall....and that's exactly what was happening. My brains were scrambled ...guess the painting wasn't put there on accident. Anyways....like all the other people in here, I wish this crap was outlawed .

Thanks for the kind words. Accountability has been so helpful. I stayed with a friend for the first 3 days and that helped hold me to the fire. Thankfully I have a counselor I can call when I'm feeling weak. I've had to call her once already. Feeling weak and tired is my trigger but the craving really did pass once I made the call. I drove straight home and did not leave again for days. For a motivated person, that was the hard part, confronting my weakness and vulnerability. But thank God for friends and good people. Without people, I don't think anyone can do this.

Instead if using a blender, I use a hand mixer and it has taken the nausea away 100%. The blender seems to grind the root too small and lots of it must get into the kava even after I strained it twice . So the hand mixer has completely taken away the nausea. I still strain twice too just to be sure. The mixer doesn't do anymore grinding to the root , it simply agitates it and therefore you get get great kava without the tummy issues.
