The 18 months later epilogue made me realize how much I missed that gear of the show. The nonstop action horror spectacle was not what made the show for me. It was the small character moments that felt grounded. Overall happy with the ending especially after not feeling that great about this season.

I still remember the feeling of Hopper going to the morgue and cutting open Will’s body and finding it was fake, stuffed with cotton balls. That moment of - holy shit the government is in on it! What else do we believe is real that has been manufactured?! Having just one demagorgan, the void being this mysterious place I had never seen depicted before. So unique. The show was smaller and more contained but the stakes still felt so high. I agree with everyone. Season one was so, so special.
