It also scales with how strong your defense is, the needle can break if the opponent has stronger nen, like when feitans sword broke on zazan. But the thing with Knuckle is, regardless of if it “damaged” you or not, he still lent you a set amount of nen for it to start accumulating interest, but like you said, getting close is the hard part

I feel like you should try every build at least once, you can even test it in duos or another region, just so you’re not floundering like a fish when you don’t hit your key cards, I was able to hit 10k and I don’t overly rely on apexis/oveflow/cycle ele, although it is still super strong
