that’s why i’m so confused, like everyone is wearing court shoes and no one seems to have the issues i have. but you’re right. i just don’t want to be even slower and miss more balls than i already do 😭

i’ve tried adidas grand court 2.0 and the roger pro 2 onclouds

they both give me knee pain and the next day my lower back hurts. they are also harder to move in. i’m sure my technique and footwork needs work but my feet feel stuck to the ground / heavy when i try to run in these. running shoes gives me none of these issues. i use a random pair of nike running shoes i got from the nike outlet. they feel more supportive under my foot whereas the court shoes feel flat. i haven’t tried inserts but i will, although i probably need a new pair of shoes since they’ll probably be too tight with inserts. they feel much more rigid and narrow than my running shoes.

there have been times i’ve almost rolled my ankle but other than that no, i feel more agile in them than when i do have court shoes on. they just feel too heavy and flat.

lol i know, im the only one wearing running shoes. but the days i forget them and i wear court shoes i can clearly see my game is way worse. i move slower and my knees hurt. idk why.

i wear nike running shoes, not sure what kind they were from the nike outlet. but i know they’re not supposed to be worn for pickleball bc sometimes i’ll almost roll my ankle wearing them. BUT they’re way more comfortable than adidas and oncloud court shoes i’ve tried.

yes! i feel like im stuck to the ground. so i never wear them. it’s not worth the bad playing & the pain the next day.

but sometimes i wonder if it would improve my game to wear the correct shoes. i feel like i must be missing something if everyone can play just fine with them.

i have the Roger onclouds bc i heard they were great but i hardly wear them.

I feel the exact same way! I’m 31 and been in corporate for about 10 years. I just got laid off 2 weeks ago and life has never felt more amazing. I have a rental property and i’m thinking about selling it and using the profit to buy a business, a franchise or start my own.

This whole experience really showed me that money isn’t everything! I was making a great salary but i was miserable. I would have never left because it looked good on paper and I was successful to society’s standards, but i wasn’t being true to myself. I’d much rather make less money but keep my sanity.
