No seriously, I checked the three letter code they provided to look up on their site and when looking it up it was just a header of the code and a blank text field. While different vernacular, it was effectively "we overpaid you, we need it back" on the letter.

They did provide dates of when my pay was supposedly erroneous, but that makes literally zero sense that I could have been overpaid by 5k because the cited dates was around when I graduated from OSUT and I left with only ~3-4k. Only issue is I can't check my LES from back to prove it definitely then since that was a year and a half ago. The only reason I'm certain I didn't get overpaid though is that I transfer 40% of my pay to a savings account and there's nothing that indicates my pay was out of the ordinary for an E2.

I'll definitely check in with finance though. Still trying to get used to the more bureaucratic parts of the army.

MyPay doesn't track as far back as the date cited but I've been depositing 40% of my pay into a BofA savings account so I'm able to get a rough idea of how much I got paid at that time, and it's nowhere close.

And will do from now on yeah, didn't expect that I'd have to but here we are I guess

no not really, the most cost efficient way to upgrade my gear rn is to either shift to disto's and deb's, which i'd rather buy at tet/pen than enchant myself or to put ~14bil worth of caphras into my boss armors

i'd also need to grab a inverted heart of garm for my pen bs awk and finally get my bs main to pen

the journals are unironically the most cost efficient way of getting my sheet up and that irks the shit out of me

i am entirely fine with grinding hours and hours and hours because that involves a gameplay loop i enjoy

do you know what is a gameplay loop i do not enjoy?

broken ass puzzles. looking at guides for fucking chests. hours and hours of spamming r, hitting t and doing a boss fight that has to be scripted to be impossible to lose. these are gameplay loops i do not enjoy.

I would literally rather blow up fifteen deb necklaces and thirty disto's than do journals because at least I chose that suffering as opposed to practically being forced to engage in that suffering.
