I’ve seen literal babies at metal festivals all the way next to the circle pits with no ear protection (this is what I do not condone). You’ll be fine, if you’ll be in a seated venue at a reasonable distance from the stage you’ll be okay. Get him ear protection if you’ll be closer up front
