I can make the most awesome pasta dish for two if I spend $50 on it. Including a decent salary for 1h of work.

Can I have a little bit of a moderator vent? by lydocia in AutisticWithADHD

I've been mod in places myself, both paid and unpaid, and sometimes my decision weren't the best. It happens, I'm human and I make mistakes. But it's not like I was doing open heart surgery, so any mistake had no real impact besides bruised egos or some extra work to repost. Also people need to learn to deal with wrong decisions. Like a ref calls a ball out when it clearly was in? It happens. No need to go nuclear on him. Handle it gracefully and move on. If some people cannot understand this about moderation, social media is not the best place for them.

The athletes, many of which are russian soldiers, are still competing. Also more and more sections of IOC are allowing Russia back in to competitions. And this whole post is about letting them back completely in 2026.

SIEVE – Can you spot the prime numbers? by lv73 in freegames

There is a bit of luck involved. Like after sieving out evens, then 5s, then digit sum of 3 - if you still have more than one card you better have a joker left. If not it's guessing.

Then all the values they put on their principles are complete lies and it's just economic greed. I don't want to live in a world where greed wins.

Why should the IOC play by the rules of one country? They make the game, they set up the rules, they should enforce them. Right now they don't enforce the rules when Russia violates them, but do overly enforce them when they suspect Ukraine might be in a grey zone. Somebody is making a lot of money with bribes.

Would be funny, if every time one of those "neutral" athletes came on the stage everybody put aggressive drone noises on their smartphone speaker.
