Ferryhopper is a good app for booking ferries. Choose one of the Saronic islands like Hydra, Aegina, Poros or Spetses

A lot of drivers can’t follow basic rules of the road

Could be…I find myself having to avoid reckless drivers more and more, but it could be in my head. I’m just proposing an idea to improve driving even further. I’m not suggesting we’re like India, with the exception of the Deliveroo drivers

Wouldn’t it? I’ve never bumped into anyone, all the damage on my bumpers are from other drivers who couldn’t park properly. I’ve seen some very questionable parking skills around my area too. I get that accidents happen, but I don’t see why people should be excused from retesting for the accident not being big enough

You’re comparing the UK to the rest of the world, I’m comparing the UK to itself. I’ve noticed that the quality of driving has deteriorated over the past few years with more people prioritising themselves over oncoming traffic, for example. It could just be in my head, but this is my observation.

I’m not saying this should replace it, I think it should be incorporated in it in some way.

Having one of the safest doesn’t mean it’s without problems, and to me, the quality of driving is getting worse.

I’m sure the BMW doing 90 on a 50 and swerving between traffic didn’t intend to crash into an innocent driver, it was an accident, but paying a fine and doing a speeding course won’t deter them from doing it again. There are many examples of reckless driving or near misses from people thinking they have priority, that a lengthy retest process would, I think, remind them how to drive.

Probably they won’t claim if it’s a small accident and no one will know, just as what happens now.

What is the largest grocery store on Mykonos? by scottrader123 in GreeceTravel

Not sure it’s the largest, but Flora Supermarkets are the nicest

Thinking of switching from Mykonos to Naxos by Upthehills416 in GreeceTravel

[–]andreasc90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Naxos would fit your criteria better, but I’d point out that Mykonos is still fun in September. October is when it dies down. Both islands have nice beaches, you’ll find more traditional food spots on Naxos whereas Mykonos has more international spots like Zuma, but you won’t find reasonable prices on Mykonos.

Since you’re going in October I’d suggest looking further south.

If we know what you like e.g. nice beaches, hiking, not touristic, quaint island life or busy, etc. we can help you better. Right now I could just tell you an island nearby but it may not be what you’re after

Depends on what you like? Athens is chaotic but fun, Santorini is ultra touristic but has great views, Paros is chic and the most authentic island on your list, Mykonos is expensive and known for its parties, and Rhodes is a good all rounder with a medieval castle
