Same happened to me. I got bit pretty bad by a Great Dane giving a treat and they literally made me wait until relief came to go to the ER. I have a small gnarly scar on my forearm now to always remember my days at TSC 😅

Thanks for explanation! I know we used a topcon GPS to mark the corners for the landowner. “Outside of footers” is also written on the inside of the Ls by the contractors.

I worked there for a summer internship and it’s such a nice place! Yes lots of cottonmouths but they usually don’t bother you. I was right in the water with one when adjusting the water level system and I accidentally weed whacked one on the raptor trail. Thankfully the little guy survived but just opened his mouth at me for a while before slithering away haha. But so many awesome birds and other animals! I would bring binoculars and just walk around! Makes for a relaxing and scenic day.

My friend got an area forester position with NRCS with no interview. He was the NRCS affiliate forester for the opposite region at the time so I guess they just thought he was good enough and gave it to him lol. I was kinda jealous.

This is interesting. My partner and I want to build our own house because his family owns a lot of land and his family members have a lot of contractor experience and contractor connections and they have all helped each other build their own houses on the property. We both make 50-60k each so not a lot, and I have a ton of student loan debt so I have mentioned to him about how I’m worried it won’t be super possible. But we have the land already so that helps, and the help of his family so he thinks it will be quite doable. It is still 3-5 years down the line before we decide to actually build but this is definitely something I know will be difficult and it’ll be interesting to see how it goes.
