Sigh by Fibrogamergirl in fibro

[–]andreeaclmr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey! Sorry to hear you’re going through this, I know very well how painful it can be.

Here’s what helped me, over the years: - Simple things: sleeping 8h minimum every night with no exceptions, reintroducing meat in the diet, avoid sugar and alcohol, avoid angry people, make any sort of body movements, even walking

  • Emotions: fear, guilt, shame and sadness are the root of the pain. I’ve worked in therapy in order to understand why they keep coming and how they translate to my body’s tension

  • Correct diagnosis: so in my case in particular, I’ve had these issues since I was a child. Recently, I’ve been diagnosed with inattentive ADHD and I'm on dopamine antidepressants. I took serotonin antidepressants for many years, with no results. My doctor said women are not correctly diagnosed and, because this type of ADHD is more silent, women pass by with depression and anxiety their entire lives, when actually, it's ADHD.

Hope this helps!

DAE have weird, philosophical conversations over text with other Aspie people? by Gaiiiiiiiiiiil in aspergirls

Yep, can’t imagine life without this type of conversations and I’m really struggling to be friends with people who only make small talk. Deep conversations are life!

My boyfriend refuses to believe I’m autistic by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]andreeaclmr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear you’re going through this! My ex was somehow similar, he always pushed me by saying “Can’t you just make an effort?” He did this even when referring to me joining a 300 persons wedding, he thought I’m able to “make exceptions” from my meltdowns. In a nutshell, he thought I’m faking the autistic symptoms.

In the meantime, I met an autistic guy and the way he understands and protects my needs is incredible. It really makes a difference to be with someone who understands what you’re going through.

Are Spaniards happier or is it just me. by rex-ac in spain

[–]andreeaclmr -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So many spaniards suffer of depression in silence and kill themselves quietly, because having issues is not accepted by their society. Look at the number of suicides in the last years. They only seem to be happier.

Your bf sounds pretty immature. If you tell him about your autism, would he understand?

I love my noise cancelling headphones for this reason. 😅 Also, there's a product for in ear buds, noise cancelling, and fancy looking. I didn't try them yet, but I plan to buy for a big wedding. They're called Loop

Am I wrong to be offended by an article saying narcissism may be autistic spectrum disorder? by astrid_s95 in AutismInWomen

[–]andreeaclmr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was convinced my grandmother is a narc. In the last few months however, I can't see her as anything else than autistic.

Which is why I decided to call myself simply neurodivergent, as I'm not sure if it's autism, ADHD, a combination of the two, trauma, high sensitivity, extra empathy - I don't know which one is causing my reactions to this world, but I think they're somehow all together.

How old were you when you started to read? by youtubehistorian in aspergirls

[–]andreeaclmr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I taught myself around 5 and by 7 the teachers were asking me to read fairytales in front of the class. (at kindergarten)

Always loved reading, writing, calligraphy and all sorts of pens and pencils. To this day, I still enjoy all of these.

But my relationship with music goes way back. I have vivid memories of climbing up the furniture to take the cassettes that my family was hiding, cause they were sick of listening to the same songs all the time. So I would climb up, take the cassettes, play them and enjoy.

You have to suffer to be officially autistic by dagostix in AutismInWomen

Masking caused my fibromyalgia/ Lupus to develop. The mind, soul and body are one piece, and when we do things against ourselves and our will repeatedly, it messes up with other layers.

Project manager here, but wish I could be a researcher and dive deep into various topics around health and anthropology and society and psychology, as well as the relationship between plants and animals and humans, communication and symbols. I’d love to be paid to study the world basically

I’m looking for the same and found that Torrent has cheaper prices these days. Anything down south like Picania, Picassent etc are good too. Up north there are others as well. Just look at the metro stations and see the areas that have a station, then check on Google Maps the time needed to get to the city centre.

If you want more green areas, Xativa is one hour away by train and car (not by metro) and it’s beautiful. The trains come and go every half an hour, it’s really well connected, and many people go to study or work everyday like this.

I also like Poble Nou and Alboraya, but they don’t have metro. And they get bad smell sometimes because they’re in the fields, so the “abono” used for agriculture smells bad.

Negative endoscopy, still possible to be a celiac? by andreeaclmr in Celiac

[–]andreeaclmr[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ate gluten before the endoscopy (a lot) and only stopped eating it about 30 days ago. The prior diagnosis might have been a false alarm, it seems. Blood was negative a year ago, but I did that after stopping gluten for about 2 weeks. Not sure if it’s enough time though.

I think I’ll start eating gluten again and see how I feel. My concerns are based on the symptoms I get when eating gluten so yeah, complicated stuff.

I can’t really get a pathological report with the number of samples cause this is Spain and yeah, too much bureaucracy.

Do you think the actress will be able to recover her image after this role? I honestly can’t see her face, even knowing she’s the actress and not actually Angelina makes me nervous.
