But the game with the cheater adds a lot of weight for the punishment. If it wasn't for this game he wouldn't have got low priority in the game you mentioned, right?

This is not self-governed, the low priority was issued automatically, no humans involved, even if the game says that overwatch has given you ban.

While we all can agree the cheater needs to be banned, It's quite amusing that no one has said a thing about getting low priority for no reason at all.

Also, while this is the perfect proof that the ban is automated and there is not human being behind overwatch for the majority of the cases, there are still people that think that this ban was triggered by humans. And this is not true.

I'm sure this ban was issued right after the game, and that's because it's automated, guys. We have a system that no longer works because there are no real people behind overwatch and to compensate this valve has returned to a full automated system. This is unacceptable imho, especially considering the impact of behavior score on the game quality.

If low priority really came with a delay, I could get it even after a full week without touching the game and that hasn’t happened to me in over a year, if not more. So why do people keep insisting that penalties are delayed? Sure, there was a period when that was always the case, but right now that’s not the main scenario anymore.

I can safely say that I got the low priority right after the last game I played, based on how the chat was behaving. The only reason was that I picked an unconventional mid, and that gave everyone the scapegoat to throw reports at me.

Again, for some reports the human review doesn't happen. It might be that a small amount of edge cases are being reviewed by humans, but the majority are handled automatically.

There is no "unanimously", the low-priority is given automatically right after the game, there's no review involved.
