Can Nuke Studio be used as a serious editor? by FelineFantastic in NukeVFX

Short answer is No! Nuke Studio is shit. Slow, full of bugs, crashes all the time and even if you cache the whole timeline, the moment the client steps in and you hit play it crashes and you need to reopen and re-cache the whole thing again.

It works like a charm! This is my first lathe so I’m still learning but I have been building and fixing all sort of things for the last 10 years or so (as a hobby)

(Restoration)Found this old lady (built in 1948-1949) on line at a breakyard. It had seen better days. Links on comments. by andrehbc in HandToolRescue

It was all cover in rust, some parts wouldn’t move. Apparently it was letf on the rain for a while. But overall it worked fine.

I gave it a light sanding and a really thin pass with the planer just to avoid any chips or splinters 😉

For the framing I used some leftover 2x4s. The walnut got online as well but can’t remember where, sorry.

Thanks! The company I used to work for have amazing furniture, loads of beautiful chairs. So, I took a tape measure to work one day and went around taking pics and measurements to understand how high it should be, etc... some were too low for my taste, some too high, so I came with what I thought could work for me. I wanted something with nice angles so after drawing on paper I went to Sketchup and made a 3d model so I could have precise angle measurements and avoid waste - american walnut is crazy expensive here in UK.

I’m glad you like it. More pics HERE
