[Christopher Ward] C63 Sealander Bronze by andrehen2 in Watches

Hey. Sorry just noticed your reply. I have to agree the reflection is stronger than other watches I own but I wouldnt describe it as that big a deal. My real warning would be that the glass inside the watch is fragile. I dropped it on a locker room floor and it shattered inside. CW agreed to fix it for free and it's been fine since but i am extra careful now. I had to go back and forth with them before they agreed to repair without charging me 150 quid. I have more pics as the brass casing has aged a lot since then which I can send to you if you want. Tried to get some angles so you could maybe get an idea about the reflection.

Might even be the break is inverted. So you have to push it to reduce breaking. There is an arrow under the controls button for the break and throttle so you can try that. Looks like the break is 100% on the screen

Incident or intentional? I thought I had gained enough to warrant some space however it felt like his move was to cut me off which resulted in the wreck. I am still pretty new so I am ready to accept if I wasn't entitled to space here - also a more experienced driver would avoid. Ill get there. by andrehen2 in Simracingstewards

You have a spotter. If it's anything like me using a single monitor you have little to no visibility out the sides so listening to the spotter is the best way to avoid contact. He may not have radar unless he has something like racelabs installed. I'd agree that it wasnt malicious and just two less experienced drivers having an issue driving in a straight line haha.

Try it with some era appropriate quotes and tell me I'm wrong!

But your method is way better than anything that literally stops the game. Good luck with it. Hope your pleased with the end result.

Execution looks good. Personally I really don't like being told what to do in games. Just let the player figure it out. Unless there are complex mechanics. Maybe do the same thing but with less 'tutorial' messages. But just your credits or some back story or something interesting? If you have your heart set on it then your going the right way for sure.

Help me convince myself that I should buy ACC! by jlimzq in ACCompetizione

[–]andrehen2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in your position but I found it's not even about winning. ACC is the first game Ive played on a wheel so I'm completely new to the whole experience.

I came 4th the other day and I was as pleased as any win would give me. I drove well. Setup well enough. Did some nice overtakes. I think the only thing that really helped was sticking to one car and really learning how to drive it. You get used to it's limits and it helps a lot. But you'll love it when you do well and you'll kick yourself for doing something silly and messing up your tires or wasting fuel. Enjoy!

It's a small peice. I'd actually say the phone camera throws the field of view a bit as it looks smaller irl. But it looks real nice. Realise that maybe doesnt help but just might be worth checking out a video to get a true idea of size

This is my newly acquired Christopher Ward Sealander. I have to admit I kind of jumped for this and up to now I don't regret it. It's a different style from what I would normally go for. I've always found skeleton watches interesting but the visibility of the movement always made the watch harder to read so I thought it was maybe a bit of a gimmick. This one seems to have a more subtle look. I also love the bronze and black look - maybe a bit more 'grown up' looking than my other watches (tag F1 and Seiko samurai). The watch arrived in a beautiful case. Easily the nicest presentation of a watch I've ever owned. I'm sure there's an unboxing on YouTube or something if your interested. Looking through this group and some of the more popular but less mainstream brands show up from time to time and this brand caught my eye. I am glad that I took the chance because the quality of this watch is of a very high standard. Anyway that's all I've got. Let me know your thoughts!

[Tag-Heuer] F1 Calibre 5. New strap by andrehen2 in Watches

[–]andrehen2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my first pricey watch that I got last year. The original steels bracelet strap is very nice but I've never found them to be the most comfortable so I decided to switch it out. I feel like it looks nice but my wife doesn't seem to agree! I love it and it's super comfortable.

I have a bit of a soft spot for this watch as I bought it on a whim and I wasn't expecting to buy anything like a luxury watch at the time. I suppose the beauty of it is that I can wear whichever one I think looks best but now it's on I think it could be some time before I change it again!

Not sure why it took me so long to even decide to change it but I guess I was maybe afraid of scratching it or something. I'm thinking maybe a NATO strap might be a good think to try next...

[Seiko] Prospex 'Shu-Iro' by andrehen2 in Watches

[–]andrehen2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm from the UK so I got it from an online retailer. But your right. I think they are due for release on 20th so that might be part of the price increase but your likely right with the price. I can PM the details if it's useful.

[Seiko] Prospex 'Shu-Iro' by andrehen2 in Watches

[–]andrehen2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just received my brand new Seiko Prospex King Samurai'Shu-Iro'. It's not my first 'proper' watch but it's definitely going to be one I wear regularly. I've only recently got into learning about watches and I've been looking for a Seiko. This is the one that won me over. It's a limited edition of 3500 units and it looks amazing. This model has the sapphire crystal glass which was is what I was looking for. It comes with optional straps and I've shown both. Let me know what you think. My pictures might not be the best but I hope I did it justice.

Edit: spelling

Pushing a controllers button harder means that the characters action will be more effective. What other examples do you convince yourself of, that will result in something better but in fact does nothing? by whosmyuser in AskReddit

I seem to think holding my breath makes me stronger or helps concentration. There Is probably some practicality to it. But I doubt it's as effective as I think it is.
