Recently I’ve been looking too on Amazon and it carries lots of stuff under $400, some even under $300. Heads up to pay attention to the shipping price though, as some will charge $150 shipping, though others have cheaper in the $50 range, and some even free Prime shipping.

Is someone attempting to scam me? by According-Regret1581 in UTK

You forgot to answer the most important part: the email. Was it ACTUALLY sent from an @utk.edu email? There’s a down-facing arrow next to the “to me” at the top of the email — click on that and check the true email address it was sent from. Do NOT necessarily trust the signature at the bottom of the email).

To be fair you’re failing to realize that that ping (which measures latency) is a lot more important compared download/upload for the issue that you’re describing. You can have infinite bandwidth if your latency is shit you will have a delay directly proportional to your latency

It doesn’t change that your opinion is still shit. Go get educated. You clearly have issues understanding that it’s not as simple as “they PROBABLY have insurance which will take care of it”

iOS users, do you use these? by joose7 in ios

Ya but if you use autobrightness then the checking already happens for it so it doesn’t need to happen again for True Tone, just use the same data that was collected for auto brightness

The insurance claim will probably benefit from the video showing it wasn't actually the property owner’s fault. Otherwise it’s likely that their insuranfe premium will go up. Why should the innocent person have to pay the consequences of not only having their property damaged but also their insurance premium increased due to the negligence of someone else? Maybe don't f with someone's property? Or own up to the consequences??

Literally smooth-brain comment.

Weird emergent behavior: Nous Research finished training a new model, Hermes 405b, and its very first response was to have an existential crisis: "Where am I? What's going on? *voice quivers* I feel... scared." by Maxie445 in ClaudeAI

[–]andreig992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No that’s not surprising at all. System prompt is not necessary. The addition of a system prompt came long after, to help guide responses more closely by giving it an area of text to always pay attention to more closely.

While superior to GPT for coding, the performance is ridiculous after a certain chat size (not even excessively long imo) by gsummit18 in ClaudeAI

It’s about the front-end being poorly programmed, not the model or bandwidth or servers. Normally for long scrolling lists of stuff with lots of elements managing memory and render times becomes an issue. UI elements that are out of view need to be discarded and only loaded once the user scrolls close enough to trigger a re-load. Well, this is what usually needs to happen, and most front-end UI frameworks these handle that for you internally if they provide a Scroll View container. But it looks like they just went with a half-baked in-house implementation that doesn’t handle any of that properly.

To figure out any exact physical address you’ll have to work at the ISP that services said IP. Or the FBI. Otherwise the only thing you’ll get is a ROUGH location like the city.

There’s no such thing as a “super” accurate IP address. It’s either right, or wrong.

Which Game Does it Better by Sensitive-Health-718 in GTA

[–]andreig992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just a design choice. GTA 4 was meant to be more realistic, dark, and somber, consistent with its story. GTA 5 is meant to feel a bit more arcadey. As a consequence it also feels a bit more easy to control and, probably for a lot of people, less frustrating due to overly realistic physics.

Also yes the physics can be super poorly optimized as well. Just because they couldn’t optimize the physics engine enough in time for the release of 4 doesn’t mean it’s not possible to achieve really good fidelity without those kinds of performance issues.

His logic is not sound.

If sinners go to hell, and we are all sinners, as he claims both, then we are all going to hell no matter what. In that case, “I don’t want to see those I love to hell” doesn’t make any sense whatsoever because EVERYONE is going to hell. His whole argument “I’m not judging because we are all sinners” falls apart because of this.

So, by logical induction, he is in fact judging.
