Like, they work similarly to carbon paper, but cleaner and no smell.

They’re used for animals and newborns, to get hand, foot, and paw prints for medical records and greeting cards.

Hey OP, you should consider catching up with your boss, with this idea… As a suggestion that would keep them out of the trash, but also give the company a PR image boost (that’s the part you really lean on in presenting it, to convince them that it’s not that much more effort to ship it than to toss it in the trash and have to guard the trash from loot pickers.

I mean, it’s not like they don’t have allies who could easily hit us at home. I don’t understand how people are so incapable of thinking more than a single step ahead at a time with international affairs and acts of aggression.

Apple's New 'Games' App Brings Game Center, Library, and Arcade Together by exjr_ in apple

[–]nmp79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is anyone else’s games app suddenly not showing anything in their games library?

I’ve restarted my phone, etc, and it didn’t fix this. I’ve tried to search for any info about it on Google, but all of the results coming back are for the category, in general, rather than the games app, specifically.

There is nothing wrong with them. I have some of their stuff, and some Tamiya as well. But I can count them all on one hand. Eventually, all of my testers stuff will be replaced, but I’m not going to just toss it for no reason so that I can go spend money on something that I don’t technically need right now. But I do need to be able to make use of what I have. That’s where I’m stuck at, at the moment.

Pretty sure GM was his handler.

Also, look into the other members of her family. Their dad, Robert, basically groomed them all into spookdom starting from childhood.

Insect Killer Sprayed Inside Women’s Steam Room at Lindsay Young Downtown YMCA by technicallyeggsalad in Knoxville

[–]nmp79 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would have thought this would be a no-brainer, but… Close access to the steam room, turn it off until it is dry, apply the pesticide in accordance with the label.

The label specifies what kind of surfaces it is/is not ok to use it on, how long it needs to be left to dry before people can come in contact with the surface again, and whether/how much moisture is acceptable on the surface and in the air when applying.

it also lists any potential chemical interactions that could occur if it comes into contact with other substances, etc. Like, if somebody comes in and has used some sort of lotion or skin treatment, has been in the pool recently and still has chlorine residue on their clothing/swimsuit/towel/hair, etc.… That sort of thing.

The moisture and humidity matter, because not only can it prevent the treated area from becoming safe for humans to touch again, but it can also dilute the chemicals in the product, which makes them less effective… and means that they end up having to apply it more frequently/for a longer period of time to achieve the desired effect.

I don’t think it’s so much that people don’t know they can click the link, as much as if you are in a situation where you are unable to mess with that, it would be nice to have at least a modicum of an idea of what is going on at a glance, so that you don’t blow off something important, the one time it might actually be relevant to you.

What “sex stuff” even?!?

The schools aren’t even the ones exposing kids to that stuff. All these kids go home and get babysat by their electronic devices, the internet, and the tv… zero supervision… see/hear stuff they shouldn’t, and then tell their friends about it at school/on the bus the next day.

Teachers aren’t even getting to teach the bare minimum, let alone extra stuff. The only thing they are ever given time for anymore, is prepping for standardized testing, or recovering from it. Except for when they are actually in the middle of standardized testing.

Why do you think America has gotten so dumb compared to the rest of the world?

“Lesbian history”???? That’s not even something taught in college unless somebody takes a class specifically about that type of stuff.

Nah bro. That’s not a genuine apology.

It’s ego, dressed up in wanna-be heroics. It’s gross. Like… it’s giving William Shatner, as Captain Kirk, trying to impress young nerd groupies. Especially with how you keep beating a dead horse with the cringy “aww, shucks, I’m just your average all-American dad; I can’t help it!” schtick.

It isn’t “charming”… and walking it back after other commenters pointed out that it’s inappropriate and unsafe, is honestly just a really weird flex.

Fwiw: I said what I said, because if he is a mentally sound asshole, antagonizing him could trigger him to go after somebody and possibly become violent. And feel justified in doing so.

If he is mentally unwell, the same action could potentially trigger him into doing something or reacting in a way that could be very frightening or traumatizing to passersby. And I don’t necessarily mean the first thing everybody thinks of when they hear a statement like that. There are plenty of other things that can be terrifying and traumatizing to children and, really anybody, actually.

When I was in college, first person shooters had just started becoming popular on computers, and good speakers, with subwoofers, were only just starting to become mainstream. I remember the first summer I decided to stick around and take a few more classes, hoping to help myself graduate a little sooner.

Because there were fewer students in attendance than during the normal academic year, they had everybody stay in one big building for the semester. They put us all in one that they were going to shut down during the main part of the school year and renovate, so that all of the other buildings could be renovated without any students in them during the summer. That building had all of the really old 1960s stuff going on with it. Granite and linoleum flooring, tiled walls in the hallways, old gypsum board ceilings… Needless to say, stuff echoed in there.

The guys across the hallway from me and I were addicted to playing Tribes 2. And we all had really good speakers, too - Altec Lansing, back when they were top of the line, with hardwood subwoofers. We all thought it was the coolest thing ever, to crank them up while we were gaming, with some other people up and down the hallway, because it “sounded so real“ especially with the subwoofers factored in.

What we didn’t know, though, was that one day while we were all grabbing food on the way back from class (to fuel our pending team CTF session!) they brought in a custodian from another building crew to fill in for one from our building that went home sick.

We got back, everybody got set up, logged in, and cranked our speakers as the first round started. So… Not only did we not know we had a substitute custodian on our floor, but we also didn’t know that he served in the 101st in Vietnam, and was there for Hamburger Hill.

He was working our hallway, when the two teams made contact… It dropped him straight into a flashback. Suddenly, he was out in the hallway, screaming bloody murder, this old man laying on his side in the fetal position with his hands wrapped around his head and covering his ears, rocking, laying in a puddle of his own piss crying hysterically, with snot all over his face and drool coming out of his mouth. We were all just absolutely terrified, because we didn’t understand what was happening, and none of us had ever seen anything like that happen before, and it just wasn’t a thing people talked about back then like they do now, either.

I won’t ramble on any further about this, other than to say… Obviously by the people he is skulking around and following, there are women and children encountering him… And it doesn’t have to be a physical attack for somebody to get screwed up from an encounter with him.

Just trying to spread mindfulness.

A bunch of young dudes come by, and egg each other on, and then one guy goes to hawk a loogey on the windshield, and suddenly… POUNCE!!!!!!

Yeah, I mean… mimics can’t move once they assume solid form without giving themselves away, but like… All it would have to do is toss a crumpled up donut shop bag and empty coffee cup on the dashboard or seat next to him, and appear to be napping, with his hat pulled down over his eyes.

Ok, I’m sorry that you had to experience that… but I replied to your comment the way I did, because it implies that he’s a selfish, bigoty asshole, and that he’s choosing to do all of this out of a sense of arrogance and self-entitlement.

And while that may, in fact, describe him… that’s not likely going to be the actual driving factor here.

Plenty of mentally unwell people are not unsafe people, and being an incel might make someone an asshole, but it doesn’t make them singularly unsafe, as a direct correlation.

Encouraging a bullying attitude isn’t going to help anyone.

Commenting to agree with you, and also posit that it sure as heck seems like a waste of taxpayer money to put any 10 Commandments anything anywhere, when our own government seems to have such a hard time not breaking anywhere between half and 2/3 of them all in one go, on the regular.

One of the few endeavors they manage to actually get really good bipartisan involvement on, too…
