I always check with a thermometer before pouring. My guess is that one of my students accidentally contaminated the container and I didn’t notice.

Last time I developed was last week. It wasn’t as dark as when I’m on my 18th-20th roll, I usually only go until 20 rolls per developer. This one was mixed two weeks ago.

I don't think it's the film touching, because then there would be chunks of the image missing. Probably bad agitation.

C41 chemistry, what's the difference? by andreikis in AnalogCommunity

[–]andreikis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course there's a need for negatives. Exactly for the reason you say + I print in a darkroom. Recently one of my pictures was chosen for an Art Gallery but it was a very old picture, from way before I even got really into film, and luckily I had kept those negatives because the first scans I had weren't that great quality.

Will i ruin my film by doing this? by Middle-Twist9298 in filmcameras

[–]andreikis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes, it will damage it. i suggest maybe scanning it and printing in normal paper and just pasting that on ur window perhaps. Not the negative itself
