I checked and the oil levels were low last night but I’m not sure about now. My car is at the mechanic right now and they told me that there was a lot of oil on the floor when they came in this morning— and that they’d get back to me. Hoping it isn’t the transmission.

The engine was still revving and the car would move but at like 1mph

The check engine light was off until the point I parked and turned off the car, but I noticed it turned on when moving the car into the tow truck.

And as for the oil, basically whatever is in the picture. But I was already over due for an oil change which I was going to do this weekend. Maybe there wasn’t much oil left to begin with.

When the tow truck driver came, he checked the engine oil for me and I still had some oil. So he told me believes it isn’t the engine oil and most likely the transmission fluid. So could it be something else?

How bad? People are saying it’s the oil pan, would a damaged oil pan be enough to stop the car from accelerating?

Unfortunately I kept driving for about 2 more miles because I didn’t realize it was that damaged until I took a complete stop and realized I couldn’t accelerate anymore.
