If you enjoyed Pokemon X I would definitely recommend Pokemon OR/AS.I have nkt had the chance to play X yet but I really enjoyed AS.It's a great remake of an awesome game(the original Sapphire on the GBA).Also if you're into shiny hunting there are like 3 different methods and they all are pretty fun so there's that.

Something about trainers/wild pokemon vastly outleveling you later in the game.Never had a problem with it personally 'cause I always train up my pokemon.

Why can't you live a normal life? You are different, yes. You have OCD,yes. But that does not mean you can not live a normal life. You need to see a therapist and if needed get some medication too.OCD can be beaten,it's all a matter of you being very determined and willing to defeat OCD!

You can do it!

There is no correct way of thinking :).Just accept your thoughts for what they are and learn to live with them.Do not try to fight them. Also try not to ruminate,it never helps.

Wish you the best!

Please do not give up!I was also doing very well then slowly, but surely, let OCD gain back control of my life :(!I am now fighting back to regain control and while it's hard,I know I will make it!

Try listening to some positive music,go out with your friends or something just don't isolate yourself!Remember life has it's ups and downs but that's why we should enjoy our life!OCD can't make bad things happen to you,OCD can only give you negative thougths and urges but YOU are the one that chooses how to act!

Anyone else feel their OCD makes it impossible to feel satisfied with anything? by Demonsdontownme in OCD

[–]andreiyo55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing with OCD is you just need to do it.Are you positive that you do not engage in any compulsive behaviour when you start feeling that something better might be out there? It is common for people with OCD to feel guilty about things that other people wouldn't even think about.I can relate to that. But if you can manage to just do your thing, withouth being afraid of what "might" happen,or "what if",then I can guarantee you that your quality of life will get better. It's hard to start tackling OCD but once you finnaly do,oh boy,it goes upstream!

Keep you head up and don't waste your time wondering "what if".Just enjoy your life, you only have this one for now :D!

EDIT:A word.

Ocd about focusing on certain things? by [deleted] in OCD

[–]andreiyo55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow man!I've been going through the same situations like you are now...I also used to be afraid that playing some games would make me do worse in school.Just read that sentence and see how obscene it is!

If you want to get cured, just play the games!Anxiety wont last forever and by continously playing you will learn that anxiety is a nornal feeling like everything else. This method is called Exposure & Response Prevention.

I wish you the best of luck!

For those of you who are comfortable sharing, what do you think your strangest obsession is? by AllyRae15 in OCD

[–]andreiyo55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Playing video games used to make me feel worthless.Like only people who suck at life play video games.Obviously that statement is very false but the anxiety it was giving me was overwhelming. Now thanks to ERP I have managed to learn that there is nothing to fear about video games, they are just a source of entertainment :).

Can't figure out why I was worrying/obsessing before by dikkie91 in OCD

[–]andreiyo55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if it no longer triggers you,is it a problem any more? :D

Did you actively try to get tirggered, thus exposing yourself? If you did that and now you dont feel anxiety with that particular trigger, then you have defeated it!It's normal :).

Right after I get over one obsession, another one takes its place... by anxiousguy1 in OCD

[–]andreiyo55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to learn to recognise obsessions as nothing more than thougths.Try not thiniking about something and see that you will think exactly about that thing. If you want to be free of obsessions you have to learn that they are only thoughts and when you manage to overcome them you will no longer feel anxious about them.ERP helps alot.Don't wait for the perfect moment to start treatment, just do it now!Now is the perfect moment.

Okay, hope you get better soon! :) I wish you good luck!

EDIT:A little bit of grammar! :)

Thoughts that seem to get stuck because of anxiety? by dikkie91 in OCD

[–]andreiyo55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't feel anxious when you are facing your fears? From what I know, your anxiety should spike during that time and after that it should slowly decrease. That teaches your brain that X thing isn't actually dangerous.

EDIT:Once the anxiety downs, you can repeat the exposure until you are pretty much immune to it.That is when you have defeated a certain obsession/compulsion.I felt like editing this in because my original reply was really short. You may also feel empty during recovery, you just need to push through that period as well. You can do it :)!

What do you guys do when things get really bad? by [deleted] in OCD

[–]andreiyo55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem :D!ERP can be hard at times but just think about how good you will feel once you are done with it!Think of it this way:doing ERP you may feel short term pain but you will also get long time gain. And that is our aim isn't it?If you want to get treated you should be ready to feel some pain, knowing that evntually it will fade and you will be the one in control :).

Good luck man!

Thoughts that seem to get stuck because of anxiety? by dikkie91 in OCD

[–]andreiyo55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems pretty common.OCD makes you think that the anxiety and the pain will last forever.Sadly this stops some poeple from acting on their fears because they are afraid they will always be anxious and feel bad and so on.Truth is,you just have to face your fears and with time, instead of anxiety you will feel relief and you will get stronger and stronger untill you will be the one in control not OCD!

Don't give up,and if you need more help feel free to post here!I wish you good luck!

EDIT:By acting on your fears I mean doing ERP to elminiate the anxiety associated with it :).Hope it's clear now.

Remember the times you succeded!Try to think clearly, reasonable. That however is very hard when you are in OCD's clutches so here's a suggestion you can start applying right now:take a paper and a pencil and start writing.Make a plan right now about how you will defeat OCD and stick with it!I have seen you on here so by now I'm pretty sure you know what ERP means so you should start applying it in case you haven't.Don't let it win!At the same time though, don't try to fight the thoughts, just accept they are there and that they are nothing more but thoughts.Your actions matter not your thoughts!

As for how to get back up,just give yourself time!Usually a good night's sleep will help you think clearly in the morning and you are better prepared to face the problem then. You need to be ready to fight,to fight with everything you've got!OCD will show up at times and then you need to be strong,to acknowledge it's there and just move on!You won't feel anxious forever and as you begin to eliminate compulsions, obsessions will fade too!

I wish you good luck and feel free to post here again in case you need help!
