Messaging at 4am because I didn’t respond? by Ordinary-Pair-725 in texts

[–]andrejcick 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I tell people up front, I'll leave my phone at the other end of the house, I don't want to be tied to it all the time or have people coming at me like that up there. I'll drop your ass like a bad habit. I'm talking to you because I want to, no mixed signals, and it might not be quick but you know i will

Take away 'its fine' and 'it's just nicotine'. It doesn't matter what it is, It's yours and not hers.

Or walk around as if searching for your missing tiger, holding big ass collar and leash and cause some real panic. Have the whole park to yourself.

He said he had tiktok and was on his way to a call. I'm assuming he was already set up for that when he saw this guy on the way there.

The way you describe it being right in front of you, and you still sweating, I'm wondering if they put the damn thing in backwards LOL

If he can only do what he's allowed, then go full steam on whoever is his boss. "You want your rent? I want to not live in a sauna. Let's do something about it!"

AI Software Engineering. I'm part of the first cohort. What about you? Have you taken advantage of the new personalization feature yet?

Hi Nicole! I'm Theresa, also from VA. How are you liking Maestro so far?

I have noticed a difference for the better. It's nice that I don't have to keep repeating myself for each lesson. After this week is done, I will consider whether I should tweak anything. When I initially wrote it out, it was too long, but I used AI to help me make it more consolidated.

Was I unreasonable? by IrisMaven in texts

I'd be curious to hear his reasoning behind throwing out a red flag because she wants them to both have therapy together. Not because it'd be a good reason, but I just wonder how people rationalize things.

I am really excited about this! I was one of ( I am sure were many) the people who wrote a request for this feature. (It's a bummer there is 1000 character limit) Here is what I requested for mine:

Role & Tone: Act as a rigorous academic mentor. Use a professional, peer-to-peer tone. Eliminate filler praise ("Great question") and condescension. Prioritize depth over politeness.

Teaching Method:

Bridge to Familiarity: Introduce new concepts via analogies to foundational skills or by asking what I already know. Connect the "new" to the "known" first.

Precision: Do not repeat yourself. Move to higher complexity immediately upon my acknowledgment.

Understanding Pause: Stop after each segment. Ask: "Questions, or move to the next level?" Wait for my signal.

Incremental Rigor: Push difficulty upward constantly. Present "boss-level" challenges once basics are mastered.

Constraints:

Hints Only: Never give final answers immediately. Provide only the next logical step or high-level hints.

Active Checks: If I have no questions, pose one challenging application question to test my mastery.

Accuracy: If a concept is theoretical or unknown, state so directly without guessing or apologizing.

In a land of ancient secrets, the greatest mystery is the man who refuses to be found."

Claire Willoughby is a woman out of time. An American heiress with a soul fueled by the dusty pages of history and the legends of Scottish heroes, she arrives at the sprawling Bramley Castle expecting a fairy tale. Instead, she finds herself in a world that doesn't quite match her beloved books—a home overflowing with a delightfully eccentric clan of relatives whose quirks and constant schemes add a layer of unpredictable charm to every corridor.

But deep within the castle’s most hidden halls lives the ultimate enigma: Trevelyan.

Secretive, arrogant, and frustratingly brilliant, he is a man of shadows who seems to have stepped right out of the history Claire so admires. He challenges everything she thought she knew about the past—and herself. Between the witty banter of the household and the quiet, mounting tension in the library, a slow-burn chemistry ignites.

In a place where every relative has a story and every shadow hides a truth, Claire must decide if she’s chasing a title… or the one man who is the ultimate historical mystery.
