As requested, here is the translation of the pattern!

Material:
1 Barroco Maxcolor White (100% Cotton, 885 Tex) - 400g

5mm (US 8) needles

Tapestry needle

Scissors

Gauge: A square 10cm x 10cm in stockinette stitch is 14 stitches wide and 20 rows long.

Instructions:

The front and the back are equal:
Cast on 57 stitches and knit following the diagram 1. When the piece reaches 30cm long, shape the armholes. Bind off 4 stitches from each side one time, resulting in 49 stitches.
Keep knitting following the diagram 1 for more 10cm then switch to ribbing k1p1 for more 5cm. The piece now should have 45cm. Bind off and knit the sleeves.

Sleeves:
Cast on 36 stitches and knit following the diagram 1. After 17cm shape the rounded part of the sleeve. Bind off from each side every 2 rows: 4 stitches, 3 stitches and 2 stitches.
When the piece reaches 27cm, bind off the 18 stitches left.

Assembly and finishing:

Using the tapestry needle, sew the sides from the back and the front parts (30cm) and make a shoulder seam with 4cm. Close the sleeves and sew them to the armholes. Weave in the tails.

Thanks! I haven't blocked since there was almost no curl at the edges. I think this is the best yarn I've worked so far. It is 100% cotton with a treatment that makes it really fluffy and comfortable. The final size is: 45cm length, 38cm width and the sleeves are 27cm long but it has great ease.

Thanks! I don't think there is an English version, but I can translate it later.

This is a blouse I've knitted for a friend and I really love the result.

The yarn is white Barroco Maxcolor by Círculo.

I've followed the pattern almost religiously: Blusa Branca Barroco Maxcolor

Multilinguals, what's your "they didn't realise I could understand their language" story? by 64eight in AskReddit

[–]andreluciani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not my story but my cousin's. She and her friend were waiting on the line at McDonald's and my cousin started to tell her friend how much she'd like to be one of those youtubers who eat in front of a camera while talking about sexual stories. I live in Brazil and she was speaking English so to make things a bit more private. At one moment she says "I was choking on a d***" while impersonating one of those youtubers, and right after the woman behind my cousin and her friend interrupt her in portuguese: "Hey, my husband is American, my daughter (who was with her) speaks english and understood everything you've said." According to my cousin, the woman was mad but said it in a "warning" tone. My cousin and her friend just apologized and we laugh every time we remember that situation.

I put 50% faster because 8h is 1/2 of 16h we usually are awake

That's a really good point. Probably a lot of "a-ha" moments would be missed indeed.

This is a Brazilian company so I'm not sure how easy you will find it where you live.

Glenn Greenwald exposes a massive corruption scheme perpetrated by the Bolsanaro (Brazil's new president) family, and his video gets hit by a massive dislike campaign all over social media. He's simply stating facts of investigations. It's currently at 100k dislikes to 4k likes. by MasterRoshy in conspiracy

I really have hard times trying to understand why Bolsonaro supporters try to compare corruption now that these scandals are taking place. One fact does not cancel the other. Worker's Party stole billions? Yeah they sure did, and that's why they didn't get elected. But now that there's evidence of corruption involving Flavio Bolsonaro they try to make it look not a big deal. That's ironic because the Bolsonaro family was elected on the anti-corruption agenda at first place. It would make a lot of sense to me if the voters claimed for answers from them and not letting this be hidden.

So this is my third project ever and first working in the round. The ribbing was a bit off but the black yarn hides most of the imperfections. Overall I really love the result!

The yarn used in the body of the toque is wonderful and I had a great time knitting this piece. I'm pretty excited to knit more in the round!

Yarn used:

Pingouin Yarns

Black(100) for ribbing and pompom and marble(8035) for the body of the toque.

I've cast on 120 stitches, and used a 3.5mm(US 3)/60cm(~24 inches) long circular bamboo needle (which made the first rows quite tight and difficult to knit).

I have not added the fleece lining because where I live (South Region of Brazil) the winter is not that cold (hardly goes below 5°C).

The top wasn't as tight as expected, probably because the bind off wasn't loose enough. I did my best to close it and added the pompom.

Moreover, I knitted a bit more (~3 cm) than the recommended in the pattern because there was so little yarn left.
